It's too light in weight doesn't mention country of manufacture and finally the light function is at the bottom one needs to press the whole alarm clock to see the time at night would have been better if the light function was on the top

The alarm clock has a quality feel. Working well . Compact. It comes with a in built light to see the time in darkness.

I bought this very model of Braun clock in 1987 when it was first released. It lasted over 25 years until it got lost in a move. Boo. Anyhow, this replacement feels very much like the brilliant '87 one. Alarm works the same, the light STILL could cover a bit more of the face, and I don't remember a sweep second hand. How smooth, how cool. Anyhow the case feels the same right down to the colour. Now it only has to last me another 25+ years. Glad to have a Braun alarm at my bedside again. Purchased to replace a long-serving similar item the had suffered cosmetic damage from the second hand. A bit larger than its predecessor, but that's not really a problem. In some ways that's actually better Has a useful internal light, activated by pushing down on the top, via a base-mounted switch.
