Hows is this different from all the other saftey razors on the market?

It is designed to shave the hair level with the skin, and not beneath the skin like many other razors. This prevents skin irritation.

Can women use this razor on legs, underarms, etc.?

I’m not a woman but the end-cap shielding makes shaving concave surfaces (underarms) much safer.

How does this compare to a Merkur Futur as far as quality and reducing razor bumps?

Besides the obvious that the Futur is adjustable as well as bulkier, the Futur has a larger blade gap at setting 1, making it generally more aggressive at its mildest settings. Instead of the Futur, I would compare Bevel to the Merkur 34c, in that both the 34c and the Bevel are on the mild side and beginner friendly. If you have a course beard, you would struggle to reach BBS with this razor—although it is possible with maybe 3.5 passes, a Feather, and impeccable technique.

Can you use other safety razor blades (non bevel) with this safety razor?

Yes you can. I have a super max blue plus blade installed now. Also FYI, depending on what you're used to, the bevel has a pretty descent blade gap. Bigger than an Edwin Jagger 89l for example. Takes practice going ATG.
