No Recipe For Timpani
This book does not contain the recipe for timpani, the most important dish in the movie. That is very disappointing. I would not have purchased the book if I had known that.

LOVE IT!!
Reading this is like getting a look at the deleted scenes that didn't make the movie. You learn more about Primo, Secondo and their restaurant. Recipes are included and also very helpful. No recipe for Timpano because as I have learned (from the book and through research on the web) Tipmano is a family recipe, therefore there is no one way to make it. I absolutely recommend this book for anyone who has fallen in love with Big Night, one of the best movies I have had the pleasure of watching!!!!

This is not the movie ... sadly, not even close.
I was not ready for the text to use phony Italian argot for the character's voices. In the (great) movie the accents were subtle and natural to the character, reading the crude attempt to simulate them in print took almost all of the fun and heart away from the story ... and then there's the matter of the cop-out about why there was no recipe for a Timpano ... which (for me) is flat inexcusable under the circumstances....Buy, rent, steal, trade for, pirate, sell one of your children, beg or borrow a copy of this warm, wonderful film and ... as your server always says: ... Enjoy!Thanks!-Doug Stokes 03/29/21

Locating a scarce item turned out easy this time.
Purchase experience met expectations. The condition of the ex-library book was as described. I liked the fact the seller wrapped the book tightly in cling-wrap. This protects the book edges from scuffing inside the shipping box during transit, and crisp corners turning; and seals out moisture. There is no telling the weather conditions packages go through.

THOROUGHLY ENTERTAINING!!!
We saw the movie and we loved it The book was thoroughly entertaining a hit out of the park. I'm Italian and can relate to the character somewhat. Fun reading.
