Pleased to report that this is NOT a USB to Blue Screen of Death adapter as is so often the case with cheap RS232 converters!! Works well consistently.

Works as intended and easy to set up, since it's just plug and play. However, it only works if you connect it directly to a router, so you pretty have to be next to it, or within close proximity at least, since the cable isn't that long.The flat cable design makes it convenient and less obstructing, but the quality I'm dubious about, since this doesn't feel like the best quality, and somewhat cheap.£17.99 for this feels too expensive for what it is in my opinion.

I got this cable as I usually talk to my server's management console (ILOM) using a serial lead from the same brand connected to a Raspberry Pi400 and then a the usual blue console cable. Thought this would be neater and also maybe let me use an inexpensive Chromebook as a terminal.So, that didn't work out - though the Chromebook can recognise the cable and pass it to Linux VM environment, it's clunky; there are native terminalemulators so why Google doesn't let this work is baffling.Anyway, tried it on iPad as that's also USB-C, nope. Then I remembered my Doogee S98. Had to use an extension because the port is recessed but worked right away! So Android (not Chromebook) tablets and phones with USB should become easy console terminals with this, one cable, no messing.I do miss the activity lights that my USB-A to RS-232 cable has.It's a good chipset and well made, and it works on Mac and Windows fine, I was just trying to get a cheap lightweight thing to work. Highly recommended if you're currently adapting USB-C to other formats to get a serial console lead, it's easy to use and lightweight, and rolls up neatly. Five stars for the cable, no stars for my Chromebook.

A durable item which is effective ,safe and easy to use on multiple devices.

I had been trying to connect my laptop to a network using a cable, I was disappointed that the laptop did not have the RJ 45 ethernet socket built in, so I couldn't do it. Then I saw this and got it. I am so pleased wit it, it is a good length. so reaches the network socket ok. A good cable overall.

Went to their website to download the driver package, installed and didn't work. Have remove and install again for some strange reason, after a restart the cable was installed. Why just not register your product on windows library? to install automatically over windows updates, if was possible to give half start, i'd give. Box is good, packaging is good, if the site goes down you have to buy another one from a different "manufacturer" The recommendation is save the drive on your GoogleDrive to never loose again.

I tried to connect a couple of laptops to my router using this DriverGenius adapter without luck. I considered manually downloading the drivers, but received security warnings from my protection software, so decided against the risk. The product looks decently well made, and I see many other Amazon reviews praising it, so there is probably something about my system's set up that prevents it working.

Ce cordon s'adresse aux personnes qui veulent établir une liaison RS232 vers un équipement (switch, routeur, etc.).Il permet de monter une connexion Telnet entre le PC et l'équipement, il est reconnu tout de suite par Windows, le driver s'installe automatiquement et il est fonctionnel de suite.Le convertisseur se situe au niveau du port USB-C ce qui explique sa taille, mais au regard des anciens adaptateurs, celui-ci est vraiment petit.Le numéro du port COM se trouve dans le gestionnaire de périphérique.Je n'ai eu aucun problème avec ce cordon pour connecter mes équipements en RS232, il est de bonne qualité et prend peu de place dans la sacoche, je recommande!
