This was the one gift my 10 year old granddaughter asked for that was not clothing or electronic. I could not see how the loom worked at first glance, but she was able to get going on it in a very short amount of time. Plenty of rubber bands are included, but I would suggest refill packs and packages of charms be bought to go along with it in the beginning. This is fairly inexpensive and can bring hours of fun for a child. My grandson even wanted to try it out. This is the new friendship bracelet thing in Elgin, Texas. I also gave one to my grandniece and she was thrilled. If your child is not crafty, probably not a good gift. But if so, I would highly recommend.

My 7- year old loved hers she got for Christmas, and my four year old had to have one. I don't think she's actually making bracelets, but she loves using her hook to stretch those bands about. No injuries have been sustained- for either child. And no nasty chemical smell. No trips to the hospital for fume inhalation. Both have been very durable. Sorry, I'm responding to accusations I read about before I bought this item. I tell you what, if you just need a loom to make bracelets and aren't a brand snob, this is a match made in heaven.

Pretty straightforward to use, but the person that write the instruction should pay more attention to the colours and number legend. Instructions constantly contradict and jumps critical steps. No big deal, with a few minutes of critical thinking and logic you can actually get it done, but not that easy for a 8 yr girl. Bracelet finish kind of short (even for little kids hands) so consider buying 2 for longer projects. Both my daughter and mi son have great fun with it and makes pretty amazing stuff with little time. Priceless to see them so calm and entertained with a non-videogame stuff and proudly wearing their products. No need to say that lots of more bands are needed.

In general the product was ok. However, the needle was so soft that it created pressure on my fingers. To prevent the needle from bending and breaking, I needed to use extra strength to keep the needle straight. I loved rubber band projects but could not work on them for too long. Meanwhile, the fact that the base was not adjustable really limited the type of projects I could do. By the way, the instruction was also very confusing. I ended up visiting youtube for demonstration.

I always love getting kits for my daughter to make things. She is growing up to be so crafty that I always try to find something new for her to do. It was pretty easy for her to so on her own and he made all kinds of things and even a neckless for the cat. It was cute and everyone who comes over get a good kick out of the cats new accessories.

This took a little getting used to, but now my 7 year old shows me how to do this. Read the directions and BOOM...you're all set. I have hundreds of bracelets around the house haha. Its also good bonding experience with your child, to let them take charge and show you something for a change. Great, durable set. I've purchased many of these for gifts as well. you will not be disappointed.
