I bought this for my daughter. It is unlocked so will work in any country used with UAE and uk sim. Facetime didn't work in UAE but does work in UK.

Why do you place such a phone without getting it fixed, how the latter know which carrier locked

I had a very bad experience with the used phone that I purchased.. the phone is locked bu the career and displays an error SIM Invalid however tried to reach Apple asked to contact amazon and amazon diverted to Apple again..
