Question 1

I am fairly new to cycling & I don't know how else to ask this so... this cream is completely safe for the groin area? where exactly do you apply it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's safe. I put it on my 'chamois area' -- anywhere the saddle rubs and could cause irritation. Some people coat the whole chamois with chamois cream, but that uses up a lot. After I put on my cycling shorts, I get a big dollop of chamois cream, reach inside the shorts and put the cream where I need it -- generally on my sit bones and where my legs meet the torso in front (which can get irritated), and wherever else I feel I need it. Have fun cycling!

Question 2

Can someone post the entire ingredients list? I have really sensitive skin and have thrown out several chamois cremes that were irritating.

Accepted Answer

Updated ingredients list as of 2016, through 2017..  The formula no longer contains cholecalciferol;
Water, Mineral Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, ***Lanolin,
Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, PEG-100 Stearate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl
Butylcarbamate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender)
Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Disodium EDTA, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Aloe
Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Melaleuca Alternifolia
(Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopherol.

Question 3

What makes this cream specific for women? In other words, why can't one cream work for both? What are the biologically differentiating aspects?

Accepted Answer

It has a scent. The one that is gender neutral has no scent. I have used both. Neither one is irritating. I buy whichever one is cheapest. Oddly, lately that has been the women-specific.

Question 4

Has anyone tried this in a triathlon? I'm looking for something I can put on pre-swim and it will last through the cycle & run.

Accepted Answer

Yes. I applied this before my swim (1500 meters - with a wetsuit) in an Olympic distance tri, and it lasted throughout the bike ride (25 miles) and run (6.2 miles).
