I was pleased by the tone quality of the Elixir strings. Not only do they have good sustain and resonant projection, but I don't have to change strings for several shows. My skin oils tend to eat through strings incredibly fast (imagine the acidic blood of the creatures from the movie Alien). These strings can withstand the corrosive attack. If only Sigourny Weaver had these for her defense. Think about the lives that could have been saved. Oh, the horror. I was also pleased that there were no kinks in the strings straight out of the package. A lot of strings tend to pass quality control with little divots, but that has not been the case so far when using this brand. The feel of the strings are smooth and the coating is virtually unnoticeable while playing.

Best strings out there. Perfect clarity, sustain, feel on the fingers and longevity. Tames overly-bright instruments/pick-ups just enough but coating is so thin you won’t know it’s there until time to change. Zero string slide noise.
