Question 2

Are the end caps single use only? I laced the shoe up too high and now I can't get them off, to redo them.

I would just wear them like regular shoe laces to get a feel of how far you want them cut when or if you cap them. For me I went too long and the cap just taps my foot when running. The pictures show tucking the cap under the laces but depending how tight you got the laces that cap pushes into the tongue. Normal sneakers with insulated tongue it wouldn’t be an issue but I’m running a thin leather work/dress shoe tongue. End of the day you will be happy that these caps work, I went Walmart to have the “same thing” and the caps never closed the 1st time.

Lock Laces - can you lace them up as tight as you want?

Yes they can form a snug fit. They also create a more even tightness than traditional laces because the elasticity helps "slinky" the laces if you tighten them too much at the top where the lock is. If you happen to get them too tight just shimmy the tension from the laces like you would with traditional laces. after a few minutes jogging they'll average out a bit too.

What are the specs on the cord? Guage? Tensile strength? I'm rather rough on shoes!
