I use a lot of fresh cilantro and parsley so these have been great so far for those. They'll mince or chop the leaves of the plant - whichever you want. I finely chop the stems of each to add to stews, etc. and these scissors do that very quickly. Pieces do stick to the inside of the blades but they can be dipped into any liquid you are using or just rinsed off if you're not using one. They clean very easily. The instructions say the holder helps clean them but I haven't had to use them for them. They are very sharp so should last quite a while. The handles are also comfortable to hold and use. Sure I could do all this with a knife and cutting board but I know longer have to soak the boards to get out green stains.

We’ve had this pair of scissors/ herb / greens cutters for several years and it’s still great!! Super helpful and easy to use, easy to clean. It’s become a staple in our kitchen! FYI… works great if you don’t try to overload what you’re trying to cut at one time, just use smaller portions and it’s a quick breeze. Also, remember to use the cap/ lid to slide in the middle of it to get all pieces of herbs (or greens etc) out! You’ll have to do it a few times over if cutting a good bit, then that’s also useful when you’re cleaning it out when done. Have fun!!

I chop a lot of herbs and thought these scissors would be a faster way to get the job done. I have mixed results from using mine, but I'm giving the product four stars because for some herbs they really do speed things up. They also clean easily under running water, and I like the storage tip that protects the blades (and fingers, when reaching in the drawer). I found that they work best when I chop up dried herbs - rosemary, basil, oregano or dill. These don't get clogged up in the blades. I hold the scissors down in a bowl and chop away. For things like green onion tops or fresh herbs, the blades do cut but they also get jammed up. It's not a big deal to use the storage tip end to push out the clogged part(it's designed to do that), but I think I'll mainly use these for dried herbs. Not a bad product, but I probably won't use them as much as I had intended.

I love fresh herbs on my food and I grow them myself, but sometimes I don't use them even though they're there because I'm feeling lazy. This is so much easier than getting out the cutting board and knife, finding a place on the counter, etc.. I read a few of the reviews before I bought these. I read one or two that said these were difficult to clean (which concerned me). That's not true at all. The cover has tines (like a fork) at the end. This is a cleaning tool. About two swipes and everything's gone. If not, about 3 seconds under running water will do the trick. Maybe the other reviewers just tossed the cover without realizing its second purpose. One person said that leaves get squished in between the blades while you're cutting. Well yes, that's true but it's not as bad as it sounds. As you keep cutting they pop right out the other side and they're not squashed or mangled. When you're done: two swipes like I described above to eject the remainder. So far I've used it on basil, cilantro and chives. I even used it to slice garlic cloves and ginger, but I don't recommend people try that - it's probably not good for it, but I was curious. It did work though.

I loved this idea and was so excited to get these, however, using them is not as good as I expected. I have only used them once- to cut green onions, and the green onions got stuck on all of the blades. The cover/separater thing works well to get them out, but I am not sure it saves any time over using a regular pair of kitchen sheers. It may actually take longer having to 'clean' the blades each time you cut. I think they blades could be a little sharper as well.

I absolutely love these. I have used them many many times as I grow my own herbs and talk about a time saver. I can chop my herbs in a fraction of the time and don't even need to take things off the stems! Wish I had found these sooner. They cut perfectly through everything I have cut with them. The only "issue" was that the herbs will often stick to the blades, but they prepared for that. The silicone cover that comes with them fits between the blades to push the pieces out. Everyone that hates cutting herbs should own a pair of these!

I bought these b/c I was tired of cutting basil by hand. Now I use them for lots of herbs, green onions, etc. They're very handy and make light work out of chopping up a bunch of herbs. Much easier than a knife or regular pair of scissors. Several reviews mentioned that the blades were hard to clean. However, the end of the green plastic cover is shaped so you can slide it right between the blade to push out any leaves that don't fall out on their own. As long as you rinse the shears under water as soon as you're done cutting smaller pieces won't have time to dry out and get stuck between the blades. I would definitely recommend these as one of the more useful and practical kitchen gadgets out there!

These are great for me because of that! They are kind of hard to clean. But they cut great. Definitely makes the prep time for cooking easier!

Bought this for the wife and she swears by it. No more endless snipping of herbs, these scissors make light work of the task. They are well made and easy to clean.

Buenísimas tijeras para agilizar todo en la cocina. Estoy muy contenta porque corto cilantro, perejil, cebollín y hasta cáscara se limón con mucha facilidad. En lugar de picar con el cuchillo. Magnifica compra.
