Q: I wanted to ask if this speaker was an Alto killer? but i see a lot of folks are receiving defective ones. Is that acceptable now in 2023?

I can't compare it to Alto speakers.... I use jbl srx835p ($1800 speakers). One of my JBLs went out and got one of these in a pinch. Even though... It it is no SRX. I was able to use tone the Behringer as my second speaker, and it did a great job next to a $1800 speaker. It didn't feel like my sound was unbalanced. Best bang for the buck I've spent on a speaker (usually... would not even try something in this price area).

DO NOT BUY!

After only one easy performance the speaker is having problems! You can hear a very bad sound coming out. I do not recommend buying this even for your house use.
