This is an excellent and affordable alternative to Muro.

Rougly 3 decades ago, I was told I need to use Muro 128 ointment in my eyes at bedtime. But Muro is absurdly expensive, so I've been using the Rugby eye ointment for several years now instead. I've found it to work exactly like the Muro, and have had zero issues.

I never had any bad happen to my eyes using it , i have very dry eyes, asked my eye doc about using it said it was ok. Cheaper , then most stories . Thanks

Lookout Muro 128, here comes Rugby! 1-1 exactly the same, and at a reasonable cost, at least, compared to Muro 128! I suffer from extreme dry eye. 10+ years ago, my doctor told me to start putting Muro 128 ointment in my eyes each night before bed. I've tried many alternatives over the years, yet NOTHING worked as good as Muro 128. Then, in late 2023, I stumbled upon Rugby's version of Muro 128 and I've been using it ever since. Forget the overpriced Muro 128, Rugby is now my go to for my nightly eye ointment. Thanks Rugby, please continue to keep your prices low!

I have reordered this many times. It is the best for my dry eyes.

I'm a former hard contact lens wearer, and I've had catact/lens replacement, detached retina-- 4 eye surgeries total. My current condition is technically not dry eye, but spending way too much time on the computer caused my upper lids to stick to the cornea at night. This ointment is by far the best nighttime option for effectiveness and price, unless you want to go with an ointment that has a good % of mineral oil-- which is more challenging to clean up in the morning. My cornea was damaged from this latest condition, and I'm not telling anyone else what to do, but the key for me was lifting the upper lid, and applying most of the ointment to the inside of the UPPER lid. (The lower lid doesn't move, so it doesn't do a good job of moving ointment around as you blink. It just serves as a cushion for the upper lid, so applying ointment there was not effective for me.) After fighting that for 2 years, if I can stay off the computer during the day, I might not need the product at all that night, but I've learned to know when I need it, and this is the only ointment I will use.

I use this regularly to prevent eye erosion at night. It is very easy to put in my eye and it last all night. It is hard to find in pharmacies (at times) so I get it from Amazon. The ointment is a good consistency and I have used it for a long time.
