dose this really work?

Yes, it really does work. My stomach has been so much 'nicer' to me since starting Mastic Gum. Now I won't be without it! One interesting bit of info: About an hour after I took my first two capsules, I started coughing up junk from my lungs and bronchial areas that I didn't even know I had in there! I felt like I was bringing stuff up from my shoes! That never happened before and what was most amazing was that I didn't even feel all that junk in there! So, from my experience, Mastic Gum has benefits other than for your tummy. As I said, I'll never stop taking this now and I recommend it highly!

Hi. i hope someone can help out. would it be ok to take this Gum (say before breakfast), and then take PepZinGI (Swanson) later after lunch? thanks.

Yes that would be ok to do! I myself take two mastic gum capsules one in the morning right before breakfast then I take one later on right before dinner and I have never had any problems. The only thing that may give you a serious upset stomach is if you get prescribed antibiotics and take them together with the mastic gum. Antibiotics and Mastic Gum does not mix! I found this out the hard way, I took the mastic gum at the same time as I took the antibiotics and my stomach got so upset that I vomited....

How big are these capsules?

LA characterized it well. They are about 3/4" in length and 1/4" in diameter. They are about the same same as Essential Enyzmes or Garden of Life probiotics. I think they would be capable of being swallowed by most people even with some swallowing difficulty.

I saw this locally and it says there is gelatin in the capsules. Gelatin is usually from pigs. Is this a diff formula?

Plus... since this particular brand of Mastic Gum by Jarrows' is not sold here locally I always purchase mine here @ Amazon ... but as I stated in my previous post, this product has really helped me. Did not suit me

I took one capsule on an empty stomach and had stomach pain and discomfort the whole day. I had to take pantoprazole twice the same day to get my stomach burning under control. The next day my stool turned red, and the pain persisted for a few days. I would not recommend this product without consulting a doctor first.

Got for H.Pylori (acid reflux): helps ALOT but ended up having Sibo!

Got for suspected H.Pylori (Severe acid reflux for several years) BUT... I ended up having Sibo! H pylori is a gut stomach lining infection. I took this mastic gum in the AM on empty stomach and it helped tremendously! (Get NAC and take it before hand so the stubborn film in the lining loosens up for the mastic gum to absorb!) But After a few weeks, if I did not take this for just one day, it would come back sadly. Turns out the infection is one step below.. in my upper digestive track (Sibo). Sibo pushes up and causes acid reflux too, and excessive burping/ gas. Process of elimination! So I'm taking Oregano Oil! (About to add Berberine as well). It works better and I can feel my guts repairing. Still need to cut out most sugars/ carbs/ preservatives. I included non fat no sugar added yogurt with probiotics and clove sprouts. I just love Amazon's little medical investigative community!!! Just think.. The medical system could have made $20 grand off of me! Oh btw.. fasting/ cutting sugar/ ivermectin can help cure killer cells, Look up the 20 ancient Mediterranean superfoods!! And Don't take the oregano oil more than a month!
