Arrived filthy, almost falling apart after first wash, got jammed chopping scallions.

Súper fácil y rápido de usar y de limpiar!!! Solamente hay q recordad bien, qué configuración se usa para qué acabado... Tener el librito a la mano siempre. Yo lo enjuago siempre al terminar de usarlo y con el cepillo incluído es súper fácil de limpiar. Me llevo 10 veces menos tiempo y las rebanadas salen perfectas y sin peligro de lastimarme. Me encanta!!! Es súper ligero y cabe en un cajón con todas sus piezas.

It is a defective product

Saw this item on my feed and thought it would be good for my son to chop things and not get himself hurt. It takes abit of trial and error to turn the dial to see what cut it is going to make, but it is stable on the countertop when I slice. Personally, slicing with a knife would be easier in the sense that you don't need to set up all the parts of the machine and then wash it all up later. Since I've gotten it, ive only used it twice. It would be fantastic if u have plenty to slice, or if ur making one of those dishes where u have to have thinly sliced pieces consistently.

I saw the cucumber guy #@logagm use this mandolin. I hate mandolins. Over the years I have always immediately regretted buying them. But I am old and I forget or maybe I'm just not all that quick, bc somehow I think this one will be different. So that's what happened here, and I tell you what!!! I LOVE this thing. I didn't cut myself at all. It was so easy and you'd have to be pretty talented to cut yourself on this thing. You don't even have to push the cucumber in the chute. It self feeds and there is absolutely NO wastage. I was having so much fun with this thing that I was eating my cucumber with sambal oelek dressing everyday twice a day! Unfortunately I did injure myself trying to eat the cucumber salad. I was in a rush and although this little safe mandolin had my cucumber chopped in no time, I was still in a hurry, or quite possibly I was enjoying it so much that I was a bit too quick with shoveling more salad into my mouth than I should have, when I got squirted in the eye with the sambal oelek dressing. No matter that I had on glasses. That dressing when up through my glass to get me. That was more painful than giving birth. I felt like my eyeball was dissolving inside the socket. So yes to the safe mandolin, yes to sambal oelek dressing, just try and eat more slowly and with your eyes closed.

While I wouldn't call this a true mandoline it does a great job on fruits and veggies. It is so fsafe because your hands are not close to the blade which is very sharp. It does a wonderful job for slicing potatoes into uniform slices for scalloped potatos. Also good for french fries and match stick veggies for stir fry. I use it so much more than I thought I would. There is a small amount of clean up but it is so convenient to slice with this instead of a knife. My only negative comment is that I wish the food chute was a little larger. You have to cut down the veggies and if it were just a bit larger you could do whole potatos and onions as well as other veggies. You just need to make sure you cut the veggies and fruits to fit the food chute. Well worth the money.
