The Fairytale Hairdresser and Snow White Paperback – Picture Book, 5 June 2014

This is my 7 year old daughters favorite series and Snow White did not disappoint. The illustrations are as beautiful and engaging as the story. The glittery pages inside and out are my daughters favorites and can be used to calm her down when she's having overwhelming feelings.

What can I say, pictures are so divine and so funny - you always see something new every time you read it.The story uses known fairytale characters but tells a different story which my daughter never gets bored ready. I've bought every title.

The book has a sparkly cover (which may not be apparent from the amazon pictures - I didn't realize that until I received it). The story is a cute update on the standard fairy tale. In this version Snow White needs a make-over to avoid being identified by her evil stepmother. It is up to the fairytale hairdresser to change Snow White's look enough (from black hair and red lips to purple hair and pink lips) that the evil stepmother will hopefully not find her. Unfortunately Snow White's love of apples gives her away, but that is OK there is a Dr. Prince Charming who is willing to look after the stricken Snow White with the expected happily ever after results. This illustrations in this book, and others in the series, are fun to really examine in order to find all the other fairy tale characters making cameos in the story.

Fabulous. My daughter and I both loved this brilliant book. The story is so funny and clever, the pictures are wonderful, there's some great twists on some well loved characters, and all done with such charm and affection. Much improved on the original story, and highly recommended for parents (oh, and children) everywhere. Wonderful.

This is a story about snow white with a twist. It is a girly book with glitter and princesses. The quality is excellent. It's a nice book with lovely illustrations. The story is interesting too. My little girl loves it! Will look for more by Abie Long staff.
