Purchased to help me open doors after breaking my elbow and subsequently having surgery on it. These have proved very useful, giving me more purchase to turn the key. The bright colours facilitate keys being found in your bag and in identifying which key for which lock. I like the fact that they are a British product too. Sturdy and good value.

I’m so glad I found the key wing, I’ve been struggling to open my front door due to arthritis. The key wing is absolutely amazing I cannot believe how easy it is now to open my door. It is so easy to use and so easy to open my door, I love it. Do not hesitate to buy this product if like me you are struggling to turn keys. Fantastic little gadget.

Very helpful for turning keys

The product works well once you understand the instructions on how to release the internal tray (Step 1). The information provided on the Key Wing Key Turner Pack is less than helpful. If all else fails, look at the YouTube video for the Key Wing Turner which is is very good and clearly covers Steps 1, 2 and 3 with an "idiots guide" on how to open the internal tray for Step 1. If the instructions on the Pack were clearer a 5 star rating would be appropriate as the key turner works well once installed in the "turner"

These allow my younger children to open my front door independently, which is quite hard for smaller hands to open. Just gives that bit more grip on the key. Perfect solution.

A good idea for those with dexterity issues or arthritic hands to make using keys easier. It was therefore disappointing to find that I am unable to open them and remove backing from the sticky pad without help, plus one of the covers is missing its sticky pad. I am happy to say however, that they do make turning keys easier.

Having progressive arthritis in both hands, using keys has become much more of a challenge even failing with some which is very upsetting. However these little plastic wings that go over the big end of the key and stuck with a double sided tape are brilliant They are lightweight and have stipples on them for more grip. For me they have been the difference between being able to use a key or not, life savers.

Not fit for purpose. When attached to a key (typical Yale key), the product is too far forward which doesn’t allow the key to be fully inserted into keyhole. So when trying to turn the key, it’s not fully in. This caused my son to snap the key when trying to turn the key. Fortunately we were in, so managed to get the key out using pliers. And you can’t move it back because there is no hole in the ‘wing’ which means you have to move it forward to allow attaching to key ring. Completely flawed product. Couldn’t even return it because I had damaged one of them taking it off the key.

Worthwhile reading the tips here about attaching your key as you don’t want to ruin the adhesive tape inside it by attaching your key too far backwards or forwards to be able to turn without prematurely hitting the edges of a recessed key hole — before the key is fully inserted into the barrel of the door handle. I carefully checked it would be inserted far enough before I peeled off the string tape inside it to permanently attach the key wing. Pros : They make it easier to insert the key and turn it. Bright colours make it easy to find the right key. Dropping and fumbling my keys at the front door far less now. Well made and lightweight. Cons - if your keyhole is right next to a door jamb frame you mightn’t have enough room for the Key Wing to turn past the edge and it would be unusable on such a door. As above, if you don’t judge the correct depth of key position when first affixing the key if the handle is not flat where keyhole is. Bigger bulge in your key pocket, but worth the easier key usage.

Sí es más fácil usar la llave con el Keywing pero tiene uno que instalarlo perfectamente. El plastico puede ocultar los dientes de la llave y no entra bien en el ojo de cerradura.

These are great items for those of us with fumble fingers. They enlarge the head of the keys and make the key easier to hold and twist. Great idea! However, I found the Keywing very difficult to open. My Fumble fingers are also no longer strong. I had to get my daughter (also a Senior Citizen, but less “senior” than myself) to open each one. Could they possibly be made to open easier for elderly hands? I still give this item 5 stars…a great and very useful item!
