price savvy
I was buying this book from a huge book store but thought to see the pricing online on Amazon, and luckily there were only few copies left, so I ordered one right away. It was price effective, on time and great in printing quality.

How To Easily Beef Up Your Ads For Maximum Results
I've heard nothing but great things about this book - but lacked the guts I needed to go out and buy it. Once I did? It floored me. I realised everything was true. And I knew this book was different the MOMENT I cracked it open. You know how most products about making money, advertising, and copywriting start off like this: "Do you want to make a lots of money? Do this! Then buy my other products and I will show you how to." None of that here. Drew doesn't push any of his other products or services. In the back pages he even lists other sources about display ads, words and phrases that sell, designing ads, and psychology (they're all books that can be found on Amazon). He is a master psychologist and gives you juicy nuggets to help "beef up" your ads to be EXCITING. He's one of the few copywriters who realises the power of words... and the importance of shackling the chains many advertisers fall into. You know what I mean. The plain, afraid-of-risk copy that dominates our society. Drew does away with those within the first PARAGRAPH of this book. He opens by saying "Trash, trash, trash! That's how I describe 99 percent of today's advertising. It's dumb. Boring. Weak. Not worth the paper it's printed on. Am I angry? No. Realistic? Yes. But don't just take my word for it. Look in your trash can." I've read through the book twice since owning it. The first read was to get a feel for what it's about. In the second read I went through with a highlighter. Many pages are dog-eared. I've only had the book a month. I'm going to read through it a third time because it gives HOPE. So much hope, I reached out to two major businesses in my community. One was a casino who does DM. I came across their single-page flyer, saw it was boring, and decided to rewrite it. Thanks to the gems in this book, I attacked the casino giant's advertising team, rewrote their flyer, and sent it back to them. This book pumps you up to realise how many ads are simply BORING. It opens your eyes to how many ads can be better - and does its promised job of giving you the tools to do that. Many ads don't persuade - they're just there, announcing that something exists... and leave it at that. Drew chews out those ads by saying "Advertising is persuasion. And the most crucial time to persuade is when you're asking for action. Always feature deadlines to discourage response-killing human inertia." Then he lists chapters about how you can do exactly that, using nothing but words. Get this book. Unless you enjoy being salt in a grocery store - which Drew paints his point perfectly. (I never thought of ads this way before.) He says that most ads are salt and sugar on a shelf - most consumers don't care which brand they pick up. I certainly didn't. Salt was salt and sugar is sugar. Doesn't make a difference. He gives you everything you need to make YOUR BRAND of sugar stand out from the rest. You're a fool if this isn't on your bookshelf, and I mean that. I wish I had marketing friends and knew other advertisers so I could hand this book to them. I wish somebody gave me this earlier, instead of going years without knowing these techniques and having to rely on Amazon reviews. But I'm glad I grew the guts necessary to fork over cash for the book. Easily one of the most beneficial books I've purchased - online and offline.

Awesome advice packed in a great format for newbies and pros alike
I wanted to learn more about advertising, marketing and copywriting. I bought this book, sat down to read it and couldn't put it down. I found myself turning page after page and thinking "Wow - this is so right on!" Let me be more specific about what I found useful: -The book is focused on one topic: Advertising effectiveness. Everything you read will help you sell more. The great thing is that you will find yourself having so much fun learning! The way Drew writes is interesting and the messages Pop off the page. I found myself thinking again and again, "Wow - so that's how they get me to buy! Well it works!" -It's packed full of incredibly useful information and examples. The beauty is that it's a fun read and massively informative. Drew has a way of saying a lot in a few words and examples. He quotes a lot of advertising geniuses, which is effective in giving his own message a lot of credibility. -It's a data driven book, and yet you don't feel like you are reading too much data. For example, Drew provides charts showing how people respond to different colors in ads. Doesn't sound very interesting, does it? Yet here's the thing: it is interesting, at least the way he presents it. That's how everything in this book is: fascinating, fun and easy all at the same time. -He covers a lot of ground even within a tightly scoped topic. At the end of the book you will be able to use online advertising tricks, create headlines, select fonts, write email copy, design print ads, set prices, etc. Somehow all of this is beautifully delivered in 194 fun pages that go by quickly. I loved this book. In truth, I think it's brilliant. If I had one suggestion for the author (and it is truly only one suggestion), it would be to name the chapters something a little less salesy and a little more straightforward. This would help me find what I was looking for a little easier when I go back to re-read certain topics. For $15 - why wouldn't you buy this book? People pay zillions to get the same advice from pros. After reading this book I felt I could get the same results myself.
