Nice looks, not so nice function
The pen looks very nice but it keeps leaking from the nib and around the edge where the feeder meets the body of the pen, both while writing with it and when not using it.I am using monteverde ink, i have not tried it with another ink yet.Other than this issue, the writing is beautiful.

Great everyday pen, good value for money
Vesuvio is my second Mountains of the World, I also have 3 Monteverde Prima fountain pens. I find them all comfortable to use for long writing sessions, with excellent ink flow and good smooth nibs with no skipping or scratching. Great pens for daily use, at a reasonable price. That said, this is a big pen, long and with a wide barrel, so if you're more comfortable with smaller pens it likely won't be for you.

Pen may be said good for it's name sake.
It is not as good fountain pen as advertised. The fine nib does not show its real character.Cost is high than it really is.
