Clove Essential Oil (16oz Bulk) for Aromatherapy, Diffuser, Soap, Bath Bombs, Candles

Don't do what I did and not pay attention when buying products on Amazon. This is not peppermint essential oil. It is (according to its label) 100% Mentha Arvensis, which is a completely different species of mint plant that is cheaper, inferior, and contains 80% menthol. Waste of time and money. Who knew there was a hustle for fake essential oil?!

Where to start? This isn’t a high quality oil. It’s very thin with no oily feel. Every oil I’ve bought is in a dark bottle so the oil doesn’t turn rancid. This comes in a light green bottle. There’s a glass dropper, that 1 isn’t attached to the finger press; there is a rubber gasket but the dropper doesn’t fit; the glass dropper was chipped at the lip (see photo); and the worst part is there is little to no scent. When opening peppermint oils, I know not to breathe in when opening because the scent is strong. I literally stuck my nose against the top to smell this. Sure, price is right, but it really isn’t in the long run. You’ll be using more oil to be able to get the right amount of scent you’re looking for. This oil told me once again, you get what you pay for. I could have returned it but I have a beef with Amazon’s return policy of returning by UPS where UPS prints the return label. It’s a pain for me as the nearest UPS is 11 miles away. Before, I’d print the label and schedule a USPS pick-up, simple and consumer friendly. Sorry, off-topic, but I’m much more apprehensive about what I now order because of the return policy.

In a spray bottle, I mixed up 1 tablespoon of this essential peppermint oil into 4 cups water to use as a wasp deterrent. I applied it on the area where the wasps were congregating and trying to set up a homestead. I'm not overly fond of the scent, but that's immaterial, as the wasps don't like it either. They seem to have found more agreeable real estate elsewhere. I don't yet know when I'll have to reappy the spray, but it's already been several days and none are in sight.

I really like the lavender smell. I use it in my diffuser and the smell goes thru out the house. I also like the large size, I was really tired of all the little bottles that cost $$$. This is a great buy!

I usually buy the 1 fl oz bottles from a local holistic pharmacy that already costs $5, so this is a total steal! A great purchase and amount for the price. The scent is great, though I notice it's actually listed as mentha arvensis instead of mentha piperita, but there isn't a noticeable difference. It's great for headaches, stomach aches, and nausea. I usually smear a little in front of my nostrils before bed and it promises a very peaceful sleep. I'd totally recommend this if you have anxiety.

Does Not work for Mice...If that's why you're buying this...IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!

I've been using this Peppermint Oil for a month (since June 5, 2019). I initially purchased it because I had a very stressful job and was losing hair in globs when I brushed and showered, I used to shed like a dog - and my hair was thinning very bad. I used to have hair down to my lower back and since I had been at that job it became so unhealthy I couldn't get it to grow past half of my back. Since I have started using this, I would say my hair has gotten fuller and has grown (I don't know exactly how much, maybe about an inch - I do have pictures that I take each week). I am using it together with a weekly hair mask that I make (Castor oil, Coconut oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan oil, this Peppermint oil, Carrot seed oil and I take liquid Biotin once a day) and have switched to a Biotin and Collagen shampoo/conditioner - so I don't believe that the healthier hair is all attributed to this Peppermint oil, but I know it hasn't caused any negatives so I am going to continue using it. I am only giving it 3 stars because it doesn't seem as strong as another brand that I typically purchase - it seems that I have to put a lot more in my hair mask to get my scalp to tingle and feel good. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend giving this product a try if you are looking for a decent Peppermint oil. Good luck!

Compared to Vitacost ‘s and other brands of essential peppermint oil this absolutely did not meet my expectations. I will never order it again. Please remember, “you get what you pay for”. The price of this may catch your eye, but for me, it was a waste of money.

Great vanilla scent.
