Love this gel! I have tried many products and this is the real deal! My curls have very little frizz, it's shiny and isn't weighed down. It's not sticky or crunchy. No clumping. I use a diffuser to dry most of the hair and the definition is fantastic. I only wash it every other day or 2 and after sleeping in a hair bonnet, I can refresh with simply using a spray bottle of water and the curls are as great as a fresh wash! I use the curling cream with it also.

For my naturally curly thin fine white girl hair, I LOVE using homemade flax seed gel—it’s the best. But it doesn’t travel well as it needs to be refrigerated. So I’ve been experimenting with some scrunching curl gels to find one that works well enough to use when I travel. THIS IS IT! For the most convenient style, I tip my head over and run my fingers through my hair applying plenty of this gel. Then I scrunch, flip over and shape a bit. Then I just let it air dry. It does get crunchy as it air dries (like flaxseed gel) but all you have to do once it’s dry is just scrunch, scrunch, scrunch all over and it will break the crunch but keep the curls soft and defined and looking so lovely with no frizz and great volume!I am very satisfied with this product and grateful to have found it!!! And great value!

I love this product, it smells decent and works amazingly for my hair. The only thing I didn’t like was that it took a long time to be delivered.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunch. It gives my curls great definition and bounce without leaving them crunchy, which is always a win. The formula feels lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down, and I love that it adds a nice shine too. The scent is fresh and not overpowering, which makes it pleasant to use regularly. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that it can be a little tricky to apply evenly—if I use too much in one spot, my curls feel slightly sticky. Once I figured out the right amount, though, it worked beautifully. Overall, it’s a fantastic product for anyone wanting frizz control and defined curls without stiffness.

This gel Is great. It has a lot of slip, dries at a decent pace, and leaves my hair looking very bouncy with no crunch. It has a medium to light hold. What I don’t like about this gel is that i cannot mix this with other brands. Cocktailing this gel causes my hair to have flakes. And this gel does NOT do good in humidity. I believe this gel works best when mixed with products from the same brand (Umberto Giannini) and when there’s low humidity outside.

This works great on my fine wavy hair. It does leave a nice cast that is easy to scrunch out when fully dry. Very pleased w this product.

Love this curl jelly! It helps define curls and control frizz without making hair feel overly stiff or crispy. A little goes a long way and it gives curls a nice shape and hold.

I am relatively new to my curls but this is the best gel I have tried so far! I use it over a curl butter or serum and scrunch it in and it really gives so much more hold. It’s got castor oil in it so it’s actually moisturizing for a gel and not drying at all. My hair is really healthy while using this product. It dries with the usual gel cast but some scrunching of the dry hair breaks it up easily and I still have hold and the curls are sooo soft that you’d never know they had gel in them at all. And for the price, you can’t beat it. I have medium thickness hair that is mid back length and I use about a quarter sized amount or less with each wash. This bottle will last me a long time! Update 7/25/24: For extra hold, I distribute my regular quarter sized amount through my hair evenly with praying hands and raking, then scrunch my curls up. I use a microfiber towel to then pull some of the water out by “microplopping” as I style my hair soaking wet. Then I go back in with about a nickel sized amount and a couple sprays of water in my hand to thin it and scrunch over top of the formed curls. I do a regular plop for 15-30 min, then diffuse until dry, and break up the gel cast by scrunching and clapping the hair with an oil (I use Davines Oil non oil). With this method, even with me living in high heat high humidity environment, my style lasts up to 5 days between washing with little if any touch up. Definitely recommend this method for extra hold when needed!

So happy to find this on Amazon. Arrived in a good package, no leaks. Its a wonderful curl product for folks looking for a soft hold gel. I love the non-sticky texture and find it an effective gel esp on refresh days.
