For my naturally curly thin fine white girl hair, I LOVE using homemade flax seed gel—it’s the best. But it doesn’t travel well as it needs to be refrigerated. So I’ve been experimenting with some scrunching curl gels to find one that works well enough to use when I travel. THIS IS IT! For the most convenient style, I tip my head over and run my fingers through my hair applying plenty of this gel. Then I scrunch, flip over and shape a bit. Then I just let it air dry. It does get crunchy as it air dries (like flaxseed gel) but all you have to do once it’s dry is just scrunch, scrunch, scrunch all over and it will break the crunch but keep the curls soft and defined and looking so lovely with no frizz and great volume!I am very satisfied with this product and grateful to have found it!!! And great value!

Love this gel! I have tried many products and this is the real deal! My curls have very little frizz, it's shiny and isn't weighed down. It's not sticky or crunchy. No clumping. I use a diffuser to dry most of the hair and the definition is fantastic. I only wash it every other day or 2 and after sleeping in a hair bonnet, I can refresh with simply using a spray bottle of water and the curls are as great as a fresh wash! I use the curling cream with it also.

This is one of my favorite gels, one of my holly grails. It has a lightweight texture, almost liquid but a strong hold. It leaves a cast that is relatively easy to break and I like gels that leave a cast because they secure my curls longer. I have a 2c-3A type of curls and I have to use a gel if I plan to have a day after. This gel smells delicious and it pairs well with all the leave ins and curl creams I use, and this is another very positive point because it doesn't leave any white residue. It controls frizz very well for at least 48 hours. The only negative point is the size of the tube. It is small and as you can see in the picture it doesn't come 100% full. I finish one tube in less than a month and I don't use it every day and I use it in combination with the Ouidad Advance Climate Control and a Leave in. It is actually my third layer for wash and go and it doesn't last a month so, in my opinion, it is very expensive. Overall excellent gel, it does what it says it does and I will continue to buy it to use it every now and then on those days when I really need my hair on point.

I’ve really enjoyed using the Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly Scrunch. It gives my curls great definition and bounce without leaving them crunchy, which is always a win. The formula feels lightweight and doesn’t weigh my hair down, and I love that it adds a nice shine too. The scent is fresh and not overpowering, which makes it pleasant to use regularly. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that it can be a little tricky to apply evenly—if I use too much in one spot, my curls feel slightly sticky. Once I figured out the right amount, though, it worked beautifully. Overall, it’s a fantastic product for anyone wanting frizz control and defined curls without stiffness.

This gel Is great. It has a lot of slip, dries at a decent pace, and leaves my hair looking very bouncy with no crunch. It has a medium to light hold. What I don’t like about this gel is that i cannot mix this with other brands. Cocktailing this gel causes my hair to have flakes. And this gel does NOT do good in humidity. I believe this gel works best when mixed with products from the same brand (Umberto Giannini) and when there’s low humidity outside.

I love this product, it smells decent and works amazingly for my hair. The only thing I didn’t like was that it took a long time to be delivered.

This product is chef’s kiss. I use this on my 3b-3c curls and love it. This gives my hair volume shine and definition. If you have a tighter curl pattern i recommend brushing it in instead of scrunching it though, when i scrunch this product it gives me frizz. The texture of this product is very jelly like and smootn.

I decided to try this product because I saw it all over social media. It says that it’s good for curly or wavy hair and it is very lightweight so it won’t weigh it down. I do have to say when getting this product the cap was broken and I tried to reach out to the company and they would not replace it. That’s my only con as of right now. I do have to say that it does have a thick texture to it so you kinda have to add water to it before you put it in your hair. You do have to use a moderate amount to get a distributed through your hair. It does hold and it scrunches very well, especially if you use a curl bounce brush. When using this product, I would recommend using it alone if you do have fine hair as it will weigh it down. And I have tried this product by air drying and using a blow dryer diffuser. I recommend if you want more volume in your hair and for it to last longer that you use a diffuser compared to letting it air dry. It doesn’t really add a lot of moisture to your hair so I would use a leave in conditioner. If you do use this product, you do get a good cast so I scrunch it out with a little bit of oil and it’s still keeps the definition of my wave/curls. It comes with a decent amount in the bottle, but it does have a little bit of a smell to it.

So happy to find this on Amazon. Arrived in a good package, no leaks. Its a wonderful curl product for folks looking for a soft hold gel. I love the non-sticky texture and find it an effective gel esp on refresh days.
