The Happy Isles • 1000-Piece Puzzle by The Magic Puzzle Company • Series 1

Our family had a blast with this puzzle! The artwork made it super fun to figure out—we divided it up by islands, each person tackling their own, and then brought them all together like a team of cartographers on a mission. Now, full disclosure: the pieces don’t fit snugly at all. Honestly, they’re the loosest of any puzzle I’ve done. That made joining the islands a bit of a headache—some even crumbled like cookie castles as we tried to move them. It was mildly infuriating... but also kind of hilarious. That said, once you embrace the chaos, the experience is a joy. Watching it all come together was satisfying, and the little twist at the end? Totally worth it. I avoided spoilers like the plague and was so glad I did—the surprise added a whole extra layer of fun. In the end, it was more than just a puzzle. It gave us time to laugh, connect, and soak in the calm that only a good puzzle session can bring. Weirdly wobbly pieces and all, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

My family and I absolutely loved this puzzle experience. Like the advertising says, there was no puzzle dust, and the pieces themselves are sturdy and fit well. Something to keep in mind is that there will be a lot more edge pieces than you'd expect. This is because some of these edge pieces fit within the puzzle. Everything fits together to create the puzzle, so that the final product is rectangular, but there are lines within the puzzle, chunks that could be separated. See some of the other user's photos for a better reference for what I mean by that. This isn't bad, in my opinion. We were just really confused at first, trying to figure out why there were edge pieces within the puzzle. I think this is a fantastic product, good for puzzle enthusiasts with allergies, or messy kids, due to the lack of dust. Also this is a product that comes without single use plastic. I believe companies have the power and the responsibility to be environmentally conscious with their products, and avoid leaving a trail of pollution whenever possible, so this product gets 10/10 from me. The picture itself is beautiful, and incredibly detailed. Something interesting is going on in practically every piece, so you won't get bored putting like 200 identical sky pieces together. And, though I havent opened up the end-of-puzzle surprise yet, it's worth noting that this is the only puzzle company I've ever seen actually give you a reward for completing it.

No, really. This has set the puzzle bar for me, to which all other puzzles will be judged. The image alone was fun - lots of little things going on, a tiny little narrative and mystery to try to figure out as you put the pieces together. But wait - there's more! An even BIGGER mystery awaits, the further you progress. I wish I could say this kept me entertained for days, as most puzzles do, but it didn't. I was obsessed! As the puzzle came together and the narrative intensified, I HAD to know! I HAD to finish! And finish I did, in record time. Less than 24 hours after opening the box, I was looking for the next puzzle in the set of three that I'd learned the Magic Muzzle Company had released. Aside from the quality of the experience, which I'd rate 6 out of 5 stars, the quality of the product is also excellent. The image seems custom made to actually be a puzzle. And great care seems to have been taken to cut the pieces so that they don't ruin the image - or any of the tiny details. In fact, some of the cuts are so masterful they elicited a giggle in and of themselves ( *spoiler alert* - a grooming cat comes to mind). That being said, however, there are a few puzzle pieces that are not fully cut through/or a few that are a bit bent. These are solid, thick pieces, though, with a nice, eggshell patina, so none of the slightly imperfect pieces took away from the ability to put the puzzle together. I hope to see many, many more releases from this company. I've now plaid the entire first set of 3 puzzles and look forward to getting the second set.

I bought this puzzle for my husband as a birthday gift. We loved it! It was super fun and entertaining to put together. There are so many tiny details in the Happy Isles puzzle that we would notice on the individual pieces as we put them together- Waldo! Harry Potter! Amelia Earhart! Lots more!- that we never would have noticed without holding the pieces in our hands. The jigsaw cuts are so thoughtfully made in order to preserve the artwork and those fun details! The puzzle pieces are in some unconventional shapes, which made the puzzle interesting. It was challenging but not terribly difficult- we completed it in three evenings. It was a little bit difficult to move chunks around because the pieces didn’t lock together very well, but that wasn’t too big of an annoyance for us. The magic twist at the end was super fun and clever. It made the artwork make more sense, and it was just really entertaining to work it all out. As soon as we finished this puzzle, my husband said, “Let’s order the next one!” It was just really enjoyable to work! I’ve included pictures of the puzzle completed before the magic twist, a few of the little Easter eggs in the artwork, and the outside of the envelope that contains the important part- the magic finish. We loved it all!

I read the great reviews for these puzzles from The Magic Puzzle Company and I wasn't sure it could really be that much better than other puzzles, but it truly was! This was probably the most fun I've had putting a puzzle together. I'll be getting others from this company.

Tldr; great, fun puzzle made by an awesome company. Superior quality, fun shapes, intriguing images, and a surprise ending. I was given the Mystic Maze, another puzzle by the Magic Puzzle Company, for my birthday. As a long-time puzzle enthusiast, I have generally turned away from 1000 piece puzzles because they're generally too simple--they don't take enough time to be worth what they cost. The Mystic Maze was anything but. I had a great time working through the unique puzzle, and immediately bought the Happy Isles after I finished. The Happy Isles didn't disappoint either. The Magic Puzzle Company really knows how to make interesting, unique puzzles that are just of a superior quality any experienced puzzler can appreciate. Plenty of easter eggs hidden throughout, a good story, and nice foreshadowing of the surprise (I'd attach pictures, but I don't want to give any of it away). These puzzles are well worth the $20.

This was a pretty challenging puzzle. I thought the image was fun, and so was the surprise at the end. However, because of the surprise the puzzle needed to be able to be moved around once the first round was put together, thus the pieces were a bit loose. I can't tell you how many times I knocked things out of place and had to put them back together. For me this was a one and done puzzle. I totally enjoyed it but the novelty is done for me and it was pretty pricey.

This Magic Puzzle was so creative and had the whole family on board. It is very fun and has a lot of color and creativity added. It's the perfect product for anyone looking for a calm, fun activity. It came with a lot of fun-shaped pieces, which were very cool. I would say it requires some assistance because the level of the puzzle is quite tricky, but it is a good level of difficulty that keeps you intrigued. The "magic" at the end is very creative, and it is a very good product!

This looks so fun! I got my order an hour ago but the package is ripped. I’ve already put in a replacement order so I hope the next one is in (at least) near-perfect condition because I can’t wait to piece this together.

Love Magic Puzzles and this one is fantastic! Bright colours and you get lost in the details and little stories. Then out comes the surprise, a winner!
