It definitely Works!!!!
I am a Landlord and had a problem with various apartments(mice), I went around to various stores trying to find something economical unsuccessfully and the prices were so high when it came to aluminum metal traps. I decided to look into Amazon because of there free delivery, was hoping to get something that was economical, looking around finally I found what I really needed, I purchased a few first because I have never used this product before I wanted to see if it works verses the plastic one that they sell in home-depot and Lowe's. The first day I got it I put the glue in which by the way the glue was super, super good and added to it was the beautiful attractive design, after I put the glue in I spread a small amount of peanut butter right at the middle and bought a white chocolate Hershey bar cut a little piece with a small piece of the rapper and stuck it to the glue right at the middle and to my surprise , IT WORKED! the next day I caught a couple of mice, I was so happy and went ahead and purchased six more. I definitely recommend, it's worth every penny and by the way the price was awesome compare to others, I saved so much money, 5 star product.

This is a win-win trap
We hate mice in our garage and patio area but we also hate killing little animals. This trap is perfect. You do not need to use the deadly sticky pad, just put a dab of peanut butter in the trap and set it out. When we catch a few mice, we take them for a drive to the open space field and release them. It's a win-win. Super easy to open and release the little guys and prevents birds or lizards from being snapped in a traditional trap.

Mouse not strong enough to get inside of trap. Spring ramp too stiff! Hard to open for disposal
I would not recommend this product. After 4 days in a highly populated area nothing captured but still continued activity. I discovered that the spring ramp where the mice are supposed to crawl into is too stiff to push down. I watched a mouse continue to try to gain entry inside to get to the peanut butter dollop that sat on the floor of the trap. Mouse just wasn't strong enough to push through and slip inside. The mouse instead pooped on the top of the trap.I never caught one mouse with these traps. Upon further investigation, it appears that the trip strip is too stiff for the weight of a mouse to push down and they can't fully access the traps. Waste of money.Additionally..I tested the ease of touching, opening, disposing of vermine inside. I am very squeamish about the bacterial riddled mouse activity being near me. I found it disappointing that the top clear lid was so very tight and difficult to lift to open without using some sort of leverage. I understand that for the purpose of catching live vermin it would need to be very secure but it just doesn't fit my level of comfort and requires contact of the trap that is too close to my person. Hard to open for disposal (if it would even trap anything.. which it did not)

Finally, catching more mice
I was using the snap traps to catch mice, but noticed that process is slow. I empty those traps everyday and reset, but in the meantime, once it is triggered it is not catching mice. I was working in the yard one day and emptied and reset a trap 3 times and caught 3 mice...this is where the catchmaster comes in...I put out 3 boxes and overnight I caught 3 to 5 mice in each box! Yay! Finally catching enough to make a difference. Very happy with this purchase and I can say it has made a huge difference for us.

These things are awsome
I have had a problem with mice for a long time. I also have a 50 lb Manchester Terror (bread to hunt rats and mice) who has gotten into the mouse poison. Due to the fact that he kills mice I am afraid to poison and have him get it even second hand through the mice he kills.I also do not want his snout or paws in a snap trap.I bought 6 of these and they came in yesterday. We set them up last night. Two traps had 4 mice each and the dog had pawed the plastic off of one, it had two dead mice in it and one more out in the floor for a total of 11 in one night. (we found the top still usable)we used the glue boards and one did not work at all, I do not like the glue boards. I am going to start putting the poison into these traps, the dog can not get the poison and the trap will hold the mice until they die. we just have to put the traps where they cannot get to them.I think that the weak point of these is the cheap plastic top, that probibly is not as much of an issue for folks that do not have big mouse hunting dogs.I will probibly get more for work.

Durable and effective live trap.
Best live trap for mice we have found do far. We've purchased similar devices that are a pain to open once you catch a critter. These are very easy to open and the clear top makes it much easier to see what's inside. Other traps weve owned were always plastic and not drop proof, but these are metal and much sturdier.Heres a tip for best chances of capturing mice. I've had best luck luring in mice by putting peanut butter or bait on both the inside of the trap and some on the ramp leading up to the trap. For some reason when I put bait only on the inside, the trap doesn't catch as many mice, and can sit for days untouched. The moment I put even a little bait on the ramp I always catch something within a day. Maybe the mice don't know how to access the main part of the trap without a little guidance and bait closeer to the entrance to entice them in.Overall these are great traps and have been very succ..We've caught 15 mice in a week already bewteen 3 traps. We dont use the glue pads that came with, as that seems to defeat the purpose.

Not a live trap
I attempted to use this as a live trap since I can't stand the thought of using the glue boards. Well, after two days, I checked it, and found an empty trap with a present, mouse poop! I will have to resort to using the glue boards. Before anyone says, "You should check it daily", that's not what the description says. And I quote, "They can get in, but there is no way out until you release them." Maybe, I just have smarter mice...
