OMG! GREAT STUFF!! REALLY WORKS!!
I have tried everything including rx Ketoconazole cream to try to keep my seborrheic dermatitis secret, or at least at bay. Nothing worked, not even the pyrithione zinc soap. I finally decided to give this a shot since it has a lot of 5 stars, and man am I glad I did! This stuff basically clears up all the red/flaky areas on my face, and the itch is gone! Note that the first couple of applications or so it looked like it was going to be worse. Areas became redder and instead of itch it was more of a light burn sensation. But I hung in there and after a month, I just apply as needed on areas that start to get red/scaly again before it gets to "full blown" problem. I first gently with my fingernail get all the flakes I can off the area without digging much, get rid of the looser ones. I try to clear up the flakes first without making the redness worse. Takes awhile to get the hang of it, but I find if I clear up the scales myself before the cream that the result is no scales after the cream. When I need to apply it, I do it at night as you have to give it a few hours for it to take noticable effect imo. My worst areas are forehead, nose (especially creases), and a couple spots around my mouth and chin areas. There has been a week where I haven't had to apply it at all, but generally I'd say a couple times a week when I see it's coming back. Remember that there is no cure for SD so the best you can do is to hide it and keep any itching at bay, and this cream is most definitely a goldmine for me. So glad I found this and wish I had sooner so I wouldn't have spent so much $ on otc and rx stuff claiming it works for SD! Give it a go I say!

Magic!
Rarely will I write a review of a skincare product without a month of using it. Never, actually. But this is close to miraculous for me. I have a combination of rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis on my face and eyelids. I have lost almost all of my eyebrows and frequently lose more than the usual amount of lashes. I have tried everything available in stores and have been to the dermatologist to no avail. (She told me I had a yeast infection and actually prescribed 10% ketonazole shampoo and told me to wash my face with it, leaving it on for 5 minutes. This did absolutely nothing and actually burned my skin. I should have known better.) And it seems, reading on line, that the doctors are universally befuddled. Searching the internet, seeing everyone's frustrations with these skin conditions, finally from a California Plastic Surgeon's blog I stumbled on, I learned about these 2 conditions in addition to the over activity of demodex mites that we all have on our skin, that some researchers feel may exacerbate or even cause all of these problems. And from her blog I learned about Noble Soap and Noble Formula cream as well as what product ingredients aggravate these conditions. I washed my face with the soap the instant I opened the box from Amazon and then followed it with the cream. The redness was calmed IMMEDIATELY. It has been 2 days - 48 hours - and every time I apply the cream I am impressed with the calming effect. Clearly it works calming the rosacea and time will tell if it does anything for the seborrheic dermatitis but I am extremely hopeful. I wish I had taken a before picture. And I will write another review after a month. I am delighted to be able to get these items from Amazon Prime. But my question is, Big Box Retailers and Major Drugstore Chains (you know who you are), why aren't you carrying these products?! I asked my local giant drugstore chain pharmacist and he knew about both the soap and the cream and knew the virtues of the active ingredient, 2% zinc pyrithione. He offered to mix me up a batch in some cream if I could get my dermatologist to write me a prescription for compounding. Seriously? I went straight home and got on Amazon. This is inexpensive enough that it is worth trying if you have exhausted all other options. The cream is very creamy as is the soap. A little goes a long way.

Good product. Not a cure.
Non greasy, a little goes a long way. Doesn’t cure anything but in combination with other practices controls embarrassing pop up flakes around nose. I use after shaving and on entire grill. Face seems to like the added touch of moisture and my gal noticed my facial skin looks improved. I’ve had oily skin all my life. I’m older now and noticed one day that wasn’t the case anymore. This has filled in nicely.

Really works for seborrheic dermatitis
[Update March 2015] My initial review was negative due to the smell of the product, which I found (and still find) objectionable. I'm still deducting one star for that. But the results don't lie, and a year or more later, my seb derm is fully under control. I used to have flaking and itching around my nose and eyebrows, and the sides of my nose were perpetually red from the corticosteroids, but I haven't used a drop of steroid since I started with Noble Formula, and my skin has more or less recovered. Nothing else I tried before worked. So I really recommend this product! The longer story is that I had a lengthy correspondence with Lorelei from Ontos, and she was very helpful in providing replacement jars. I've concluded that the smell I was smelling is normal for this product. However, Lorelei went further and mixed me up a custom batch of their Emu Lac with pyrithione zinc! This cream smells quite good, and the results seem to be pretty much equivalent. It's what I use now. So I applaud Ontos for awesome customer relations! I've tried not applying the cream for several days at a time in the last week, and it seems like the flaking is coming back and I'll have to keep using the cream. So it isn't really a cure in my case, but it's great at controlling the symptoms! ------------------------------------------- [Original review] I don't know if I got a bad batch, but mine smells like a tub of lard gone bad. It's especially stinky once applied. Close to unbearable. I can't quite figure out what the expiration date on it is, if any. The writing on the bottom is literally: SP2103 4 0047845 09-16 Any idea what that might mean? The color is off-white, but I wouldn't call it yellowish. Nobody has mentioned smell in any reviews, so I assume it's not supposed to smell like death... Other than that, it seems to be working better than anything I've tried, though it's hard to be sure after just once week.

Hurt Like Heck and Aggravated Condition Instead of Relieving It
I've long had problems with eczema, but have only recently developed seb derm. Actually, I've had it for about a year but only realized what it was when, about a six weeks ago, it suddenly got worse and spread (probably a reaction to increased stress). As others have noted, people who are affected by seb derm typically try many products (spending a bit of money in the process) before they hit on some that work. Alas, this was one of my more expensive trials; at this writing, the cream cost $30. I regret not heeding the warnings of the folks who left negative reviews. Perhaps it is the sodium laurel sulfate that's causing the problem, but it could easily be something else; I have very sensitive skin. Like other negative reviewers, I experienced two problems with this cream: #1 It burned like the devil. I can take stinging (as in CeraVe stinging or AmLactin stinging) but this was different. Unlike other products that produce a bit of discomfort upon application, this actually hurt. The pain didn't go away until I washed off the cream. #2 It aggravated the condition instead of relieving it. After gutting it out thru several applications, I developed bumps, increased redness, and heavy flaking. I'm especially disappointed because I've had a fair amount of success with the Noble Formula soaps. I've tried two: the version with argan oil and the one with emu oil. Neither have bothered me and both seem to help clear up the seb derm. FWIW, if this is of any help to anyone, to rectify the damage done by the Noble Formula cream, I used TGel Extra Strength to wash the affected areas on my face (smells like the crypt, but works) and followed up with CeraVe cream (not lotion). This combo has helped to reverse the damage done by the Noble Formula cream. Despite its malignant odor, I may stick with the TGel for a while. I've read that it's smart to mix up one's regime to avoid developing resistance to products that work.

This will be an ongoing review. I use both the Noble Formula 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap and this cream simultaneously. I have seborrheic dermatitis. I have tried multiple anti fungal treatment like lotrimin and anti dandruff soaps which only helped a little but usually comes back after 2-3 weeks. I wash with noble bar during showers and I usually apply this cream twice a day (after shower and before sleep) sometimes 3 times (mid day). First few days of using this cream the mornings were very painful. The pain usually last only a few mins but it feels like you pour alcohol on a wound. I assume the pain is because my facial skin is 'open'. Night application not as painful especially if I did a midday one. I notice that the redness and bumpiness actually increased and scales increased a lot during these days. Scales not too visible with the cream on but when you wake up in the morning the flakes were all over my face especially the nose area. Got me nervous since I see a lot of reviews seeing results in a few days, but I was willing to try any product for at least 2 weeks as long as it was bearable. Around the one week area, mornings are still painful, redness is slightly better, flakes are still bad during wake ups. Itchiness is same as before beginning treatment. Around the two week area, morning applications are not as painful, redness is getting better, still a lot of flaking/scales. Itchiness is maybe slightly better. Around the three week area, morning applications have very little pain if any, redness is barely visible, scales are a lot better, practically 90 percent better. My skin actually looks very good and soft, it actually looks a lot younger. I usually have 1-3 pimples visible on my cheek area every week for the past few years and now they don't appear. Itchiness is still the same. Dec. 28 2014. Currently on my fourth week. I am happy about the redness and scaling being practically gone. I'll have to figure something out about the itchiness. Mosquito bites do last 2-4 weeks on me so maybe a few more weeks the itchiness will be better. I do notice if I sweat or at the stage before you can visibly see the sweat, within a few hours after application it burns. So I may have to see if washing my face before doing any activity will help with that. I'll do another update in a month. Hopefully this review will help some of you. Late update. Sadly my dermatitis came back hard. I will continue to use this and other products to hide the flaking but time to look for something else.

Amazing product!!
After trying 5 prescriptions from my dermatologist without any success I decided to give this a try and finally something is helping!!! I have psoriasis on my face and eyelids. It hurt, it was red, it was flaky, it was impossible to cover up with makeup. I ended up using Vaseline just to try and keep it from cracking, it helped but you could see it was there and it wasn't pretty. This cream on the other hand is doing everything I could have hoped. It's keeping my skin from cracking, the flaking is gone, the redness has gone down, it's keeping it from itching, and you can't see it once it's rubbed in. I will say that it does burn a little if you get it in your eyes. Which is true for most things, but with my eyelids being the major problem it's hard to keep it away from my eyes. however if it does get into your eyes a little cold water fixes the problem. I've been using this for just a few weeks, putting it on 2-3 times a day and it's already made a huge difference. I am so glad I found this and decided to try it! It's an amazing product and I feel like myself again, I don't feel like I need to hide my face from everyone!
