I have listened to and read Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People multiple times. It makes sense, and, like all habit changes, it takes practice. This workbook is the companion to that book. I highly recommend working through the exercises at least once each year as part of your life and work planning groundwork. It is a great guide and framework to help you develop effective and lifelong change.

Is not the type of penmanship i digest easily & i read a lot of books
Is not the type of penmanship i digest easily & i read a lot of books, esp of these topics. He is also a bit vague in providing concise explainations... essentially, too concise while spending more time giving little stories for examples. The stories are fine. Better than good even, but i feel need more substance to his points, like for instance, more specific examples in the Time Management Matrix. Other than this, i throughly enjoyed the book. Very much in line with the type of understanding about basic connectedness between all humans... Also, really learned a new view (which is becoming less often the more i read on this topic). This is about the concept of Personality Ethic and Character Ethic.. and distinguishing between them. Again, difficult for me to comprehend his writing style, but this is a me thing which also leads me to still be unclear about what the 7 habits "actually" are & i am left with more of a "sense" of what they are. However, numerous concepts provided to intergrate into my thinking... concepts that are quite useful & self-empowering. I am overall very pleased with Mr. Covey for sharing his gifts and for his important & large impact through writing as much. 5 Stars!

A great inspration and a great tool if you are serious about changing your life.
I am listening to this book now for the third time and got the workbook to start taking it to the next level of actually learning and using all the great points made. This book is a treasure of wisdom, the work of a god centered man studying the practical ways through hundreds of other personal productivity books of becoming a more godly man. It is our natural, inborn desire to be the best we can be but getting there has not been part of our culture. Our culture is to do the easy thing, the independence level that Covey is talking about is pretty much the highest level most people are striving for. The greatest thing you can learn from this book is the emphasis on interdependence and the value of you becoming an active and dynamic contributor of things larger than yourself. I love the way he describes the value of you as a parent and how to help your kids in the best possible way to become great people as well. This is totally utopian for me and I am thinking, talking,teaching and organizing to use this to accelerate my life and inspire that same effect in the lives of the people around me. This is the practical way to achieve dreams, this is what serious churches need to help their people enhance their relationships to the level their religious books are talking and teaching about.

Good supplemental book
Great book overall. If you aren't a religious person you may find that you need to look past his "higher power" connotations but the overall message is good. I'm probably more inclined to recommend the Studer "Hardwiring Excellence" books than this one though. Also "delivering happiness" by Tony Shei is another excellent read.

Great for anyone - even if you have not read the book
This is a great workbook. It goes through each of the 7 habits at a really nice pace. It is a great exercise to go through after reading the book, but I think this would be good for anyone that has not read the book as well. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to improve their day-to-day life. The 7 habits really have the potential to help you develop a strong foundation for a healthy life.
