A MUST if your aging remotes just ain't pulling their weight anymore.
Just minutes before typing this up, I had just completed programming one of the the 2 keys that I ordered for my 2006 Honda Ridgeline Truck. I used a UTube video for the instructions (I could have been done rather quickly, but I tinkered around a bit and veered off of the video tutorial before I got focused :) ). Just a few bullet points on this.1) A "master" key is NOT needed. As long as you have a key that works, you are good.2) When using your original key/remote control key in parallel to programming a replacement car key fob, YOU WILL NEED TO REPROGRAM YOUR ORIGINAL KEY AT THE SAME TIME! In this programming stage of your vehicle, it will "forget" any and all keys that were previously programmed. That is what I found out as I tinkered around.3) When programming your new remote, you may be restricted to only 2 keys per vehicle allowed control. I tried programming my original, plus the 2 that I just bought, all at once. Only 2 were successful, the third was not. I will keep that as a backup. The video tutorial that worked for me was [...]. Hopefully it is not blocked by Amazon. Just in case it is, if you search Utube for hDzWRXO0jNk (part of the URL name of the video in question), you will come across 4 results. The first one by user name TrendyFlickz is what did the job for me. Anyhow, this key fob served its purpose, I have a working key again, and all of this for under $50 bucks vs. the price gauging dealers fee. You WILL need to take the key to get laser cut if you need the key copied though. Luckily I only needed the remote part of it. Good luck to you.

Work perfect!! I used my chip from my old fob and inserted it into the new one
Works great in my Honda! Saved me a ton of money that the dealership wanted for a new key. If you have the old Fob you can remove the chip and insert it into this fob. If you do Not then this fob will have to be programmed by a lock smith and would have cost me $30. I had my old fob and watched this video and was able to remove the chip and use it. Worked prefect and only cost me $3 to get the key cut! Watch this video on how to remove the old chip from your existing fob and save yourself big $$$ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SC10NF6/ref=cfb_at_prodpg

My Master key broke
My master key broke off the fob about a year ago. It was way too expensive to have the dealership make me a new key and it probably would have taken them a lot longer than the short 2 days I waited for this and I saved about $200. It was simple to program the fob myself but then I needed to have the key cut and the chip programmed as well. Took some time to find someone to cut the key because the cut is engraved. I finally found a locksmith who gave me a deal and now I have a whole key! I thought at first I could just use my original key and program the fob but you can't remove the uncut key from the casing.

DO NOT BUY! IT FALLS APART
I've had this key for 7 MONTHS and it is falling apart. The plastic case has broken just from standard use. It's either in my bag or the ignition of my car and is falling apart. Even if they sent me a new one, the expensive part is having the key programmed and cut so I would still be out $50. I've had to GLUE it back together and use tape and rubber bands to keep the stupid thing from breaking into 3 pieces. I wish I had bought a real Honda key. It would have ultimately been less expensive. I recommend giving this product a HARD PASS! KeylessOption Keyless Entry Remote Control Uncut Car Ignition Chip Key Fob Replacement for OUCG8D-380H-A

Love it!
This is a great replacement key. I was able reprogram the lock/unlock transmitter myself by following the steps on the companies website. I took my key to get cut at a local locksmith. I didn't realize that the actual key needed to be programmed in order to start the engine. When you get this key reprogrammed, make sure you have ALL keys you will use for your vehicle, or the other keys you don't have with you will no longer work. I now have 1 original key, this new key, and a valet key all working! Great product.

Works for 2008 Honda Element SC too!
Just took this to be cut/programmed for my Honda Element & it works great! So happy to have the key/remote all-in-one.

Not really self-programmable, but like OEM quality. A+
Just like the dealer OEM key. Unlock/lock control can be done by yourself (which is easy), but the crank/start up will need to be done by the dealer or keysmith that has a programming handheld <—That was the only disappointing part. But it works great!

These have issues
For some reason it deactivates all the time this is the second one. So far keeping the small screw out has it working a little better. It will flash randomly and you'll know it's lost signal. Taking it apart reinserting the battery and it'll come right back to working fine until again whatever we "did" to unprogram last time without notice.
