Doheny's 1 HP Above Ground Swimming Pool Pump, 115V, 75 GPM

Waited a bit to review to see how it ran. No complaints at all, runs well and works great on my 18' above ground pool. Was easy enough to swap with my old pump, although the hose connection was a different size (my own fault). I was still able to make it work easy enough. Happy with the purchase so far!

My 10-15 year old Hayward pump quit working just before the 4th July Holiday weekend. Same replacement Hayward pump was north of $400 bucks! I opted to try this 1.0 HP Doheny's pump for 1/2 the cost. So far so good. It's quiet. Seems to have decent build quality. Time will tell if it was worth it. If it lasts 5-7 years ill be Happy.

Ordered 19 May 2026. I was excited because of the cost and reviews. Plugged it in for the pool 28 May 2026. Last night 23 Jun 2026. Stopped working. Plugged it in 3 different outlets to see if it was my outlet and nothing. Tried to return it and says that the item is not returnable even after ony 4 weeks of use. $200 of my hard earned money down the drain. Should have paid the extra $199 for thier competitors pump. Going to be forced to work overtime to buy the Hayword that I should have originally bought. Thanks for nothing Doheny! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This Doheny's 1 HP Above Ground Swimming Pool Pump performs well and provides strong water flow for my pool. It runs efficiently, is relatively quiet, and seems to be built with quality materials. Installation was straightforward, and overall I'm happy with its performance. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no power switch, so the pump turns on whenever it's plugged in. It would be much more convenient if it included an on/off switch. Aside from that drawback, it's a solid pump and does the job well.
