Valiant Premium IV Stove Fan and Magnetic Red Thermometer Pack, FIR627, Black, 199mm

I bought this in an attempt to move the warm air from the log burner further into our chilly, large and oddly-shaped hall. Normally, the heat stays in a bubble no more than a few feet from the burner and doesn't penetrate the rest of the room. The fan works straight out of the box. Popped on the top of the stove (the instructions for placement are clear and simple) it starts working as soon as the heat begins to build. I find it effective in moving the heat out into the room. It isn't a heater itself, so don't expect the room to magically warm up, but it effectively distributes heat up to 9 or 10 feet from the face of the stove. The fan is sturdy and well made. I will be buying a second unit for my other stove.

Absolutely brilliant very quiet and throw out the heat into room

Had been meaning to get one for some time, with winter coming it seemed s good time to help make the heat spread better and be more cost effective for the house. The small unit is quiet, but efficient, you can feel the difference once it gets up to speed, feels sturdy unlike others, handily came with a free temp gauge (as seen in picture also). Very pleased.

Used for my wood burner. Beware though that if your flue is not metal, i.e. stainless steel, then the magnetic thermometer won’t attach, so you will need to attach it to the iron collar.

This fan really does spread the warm air from your stove fully around the room. Excellent buy and at a good price.

Quick delivery and well packed. Wasn't to sure about buying a fan, so as well Amazon reviews I also used other review platforms. The Valiant consistently came best. Well made product, very quite and disperses warm throughout long lounge. Highly recommend. Worth paying extra.

I tend to look at the negative reviews first. I knew these were supposed to work but some people had put that theirs didn't even move a feather when dropped in front, or it was too noisy. So, yes, it hums quietly in the background but no more really than the water going round in your heating system and certainly doesn't interfer with hearing others talking or the TV. I sit in front of the fan and it gently blows my hair, so it's definitely creating a current of air which moves the heat around (I tend to sit it towards the back of my stove so it can move all the warmer air). I really don't understand the people who feel it doesn't create a current. As to breaking - I've been using mine for about a month so I can't comment on longevity yet, but it seems fairly robust to me. Highly recommend.

Great fan unit. Sits there on top of the wood burner just doing it's thing! When the fire is alight, it spins away silently, and when it cools down it stops. No need for batteries or external power. Nicely circulating the warm air round the room. Just the job!

Gut verarbeitet. War bei dem günstigen Preis eher skeptisch, der Ventilator steht aber den 3 mal so teuren Modellen in nichts nach.

Great quality. Especially compared to a lot of the straight out of china varieties on here. My dad uses it to warm up his house in winter. It's small and the air can be felt from about 2 metres away. But because of the way it moves it, it keeps the whole house warm. Love the safety features that uses a heat activated shim, it raises the fan off the heat of it gets too hot. This saving the Peltier device powering the fan.
