THE ON/OFF button is located with the volume control. You will hear it CLICK  when  the volume
Control knob is turnex to the right. The radio doesn't have stereo sound with headphones
Or earbuds attached. The speaker is about 3.5 inches in diameter. This is a good sized speaker 
For this radio. This radio uses 4 D sized batteries. The radio will operate along time on these batteries. It is good for emergencies like a power failure, listening to different sports games, 
During a camping trip. The FM band covers 87- 108 MHZ, AM band covers 520 - 1710 KHZ and 
Shortwave from 4.70 -18.00 MHZ. This radio is very easy to use. The digital readout for the stations takes the guess work out of finding the station you want to listen too.
