Once starting, you cannot put her books down. Fantastic writing!!
I thought I knew the ending part way through. Boy was I ever surprised. All her books are great.

Star Crossed Lovers
The narrative was gripping--the reader is kept guessing until the final chapters. However if you expect to have a clear-cut "I thought so moment," that will disappoint. The fact that a conflict between families required resolution was somehow lost in the details of the conclusion of the book. The reader is left guessing or he/she must supply details based upon assumptions that are unverified. Still, overall the mystery and its resolution work if some questions remain unanswered. The minor characters and their contribution to the unraveling of the plot gave the story a realistic setting.

It’s a B.J Daniels book. She always has romance and suspense for her readers.
Can’t write one specific thing, it’s all good. Have read all of her books and sit on pins and needles waiting her next one.

I like this series of the Montana Hamiltons
I like this series of the Montana Hamiltons, the way it continues through all the daughters. It keeps you interested in all the various characters. I still have the last book to read to learn how it all ends.

I love country romance
I love country romance. B. J. Thomas is a new author to me. I suggest this book be purchased. I haven't read Lucky Shot nor Wild Horses as of this date. I must have 40 books in the my Kindle to read. I am glad I found a new country western book who is B. J. Thomas (Montana Series). I suggest you check out this author.

Enjoyable
I haven't read any of the other books in this series so I felt a little like I'd been dropped into the middle of a soap opera. Despite that, Daniels did great job catching me up on what I needed to know. There are A LOT of mysteries going on in this book but the primary plot follows the mystery of who killed Maggie McTavish which is neatly tied up by the end (and in a way I didn't expect but it worked). And although at first I was a little overwhelmed by all of the drama and missed back stories but by the end I was a little hooked on seeing how it all plays out. My only critique is that the romance between Harper and Brody didn't get enough time to develop with all of the other drama. It was sort of reduced to "we've always been secretly in love so of course we'll be together now that we're in the same town again" which was sort of lackluster. But otherwise I enjoyed the story a whole lot and I can't wait to read the other books.

I love the Montana Hamilton series
I love the Montana Hamilton series. I have read 5 of the 6 series set. I am just waiting for the last book in the series which is coming out in October. B J Daniels is a very good author and her books keep you guessing up until the very end. This makes for good reading.

Twists, turns, and trouble
This book had me hooked as I followed its twisting, satisfying path. Well done, and excellent atmospheric foreshadowing as it ends with a hook that is dragging me to the next instalment as I type.

A story with more intrigue than romance but still captivating!
HARD RAIN is the 4th book in the Montana Hamiltons Series. This series is about the 6 girls in the Hamilton family. This book is about Harper Hamilton and Brody McTavish. Both Harper and Brody grew up knowing of each other. They even liked each other. But she's quite a bit younger than him. He's been waiting for her to grow up. Okay, it's kind of cheesy! They both liked each other for so long and now they are going to be together. There's no real "dating" in the romance. The story starts out with him saving her from her run away horse only to be berated for ruining her fun. After a silly scene where they reconnect, they realize that her horse needs to be found. When they find the horse, they also find a box that has been unearthed in the hard rains. Inside the box is they find mummified remains. They report the remains to the sheriff only to find out that it's his cousin that disappeared 35 years earlier. What follows is a story more about the opening of Pandora's box (they find out who killed her grandmother, who was at fault for her grandfather's death as well as what happened to Maggie) than of an actual romance between the two. They just decided that they wanted to be together so they were. There was little to no sexual content.I did enjoy the story. It was intriguing and captivating. Definitely kept me on my toes till the end. And the actual killer was not who I'd suspected. There was a lot of reference to other characters in the whole series as well as from the Beartooth, Montana Series. You can better understand the story when you've not only this series but the Beartooth series as well.

Second favourite of the series
This would be my second favourite story of the series (Lucky Shot being the first).A great mix of romance, mystery, and suspense as secrets are unearthed. There is a secondary story arc within this series, so I would recommend reading them in order.

Suspenseful and gripping!
BJ Daniels writes compelling stories that intertwine with each other. Sometimes I can see how the story will end and sometimes not. (That's one of the reasons I read her books... I never know which way a new story will go for me.) There were some twists in this story I really didn't see coming. And of course, through it all are threads of the backdrop story about the Montana Hamiltons that will be coming to a head soon. I read the last paragraph of Hard Rain and right away wanted to read the next installment. That's not to say readers wouldn't enjoy each story on its own, but I find the connections between stories to only whet my curiosity.

Wonderful story
I really enjoyed this book. What a web the sheriff had to dig through for clues. It was pretty intense waiting to find out if Brody and Harper were going to make it work. Loved it. I was never sure who was guilty until the end
