This little cable brought my old stereo back into use
Today I grabbed this to breathe some life into the old stereo in the garage. That thing’s been sitting under a pile of camping bins for years. I wanted something simple so I could stream trail playlists from my phone while loading up the car. I just plug it into the headphone jack and the RCA inputs, hit play, and the speakers wake right up. Volume feels clean and there’s no weird buzzing. Yesterday I was tossing my hiking pack in the trunk with some bluegrass blasting and actually started dancing in the driveway. For a cheap little cable, I’m really glad it pulled that stereo back into rotation.

Made my scratchy speakers usable again
Maybe super niche, but this DeoxIT spray actually solved a weird problem in my rental. I bought it because my secondhand amp and old bookshelf speakers were crackling every time i touched the volume knob. I sprayed a tiny bit into the knob opening, twisted it back and forth a bunch, and the noise dropped way down. Same with a sticky input jack on my guitar, it stopped cutting out during practice. The can feels like it’ll last forever, since you only use short bursts adn a little goes a long way. Price stings a bit on a tight budget, but cheaper than replacing gear.

This fixed my crackly dorm speakers and my guitar too 🎸
I stuck the straw into the tiny gap around the knob, hit a short burst, then twisted the knob back and forth like 30 times. The crackling dropped to almost nothing and the volume feels smoother now. Tried the same thing on my guitar’s sketchy input jack and it quit cutting out during late-night practice. That one fix made me really glad I didn’t haul everything to a repair shop. The can looks small but I only use tiny bursts, so it seems like it’ll last me through college. Price stings a bit on a student budget but still cheaper than replacing a whole amp or speakers. If your old audio stuff is acting crusty, this is a handy little rescue can.

Handy spray for cleaning contacts
This deoxIT D5S-6 spray is pretty useful for keeping my electronics in good shape. i use it often at work to clean guitar pedals and connectors, and it works well without any fuss. the pack is small but lasts quite a while and the low-med-high valve makes it easy to get just the right amount. can't complain about the quality and ease of use. 😊

Good cleaner for trail gadgets
I picked this up to rescue my old trekking GPS and a scratchy volume knob on the little speaker I keep in the car for post-hike tailgate hangs. I pop the battery cover, give the contacts a short spray of DeoxIT, then click things a few times and wipe off the extra. The GPS boots faster again and quit randomly shutting down halfway through a ridge walk. On a rainy day at the trailhead I also used it on a sticky headlamp switch and it started responding with one press instead of three. The low to high spray control is handy so I do a quick short burst for tiny parts and a heavier shot on corroded battery trays. Glad I tossed this in my gear bin.

Quiet controls
When my secondhand amp started crackling whenever I adjusted the volume, it became annoying during calls from my home office. I bought this DeoxIT spray to try before replacing anything. A short burst in the knob and a few turns quieted it down, and it also stopped my guitar jack cutting out during evening practice. Glad I tried it first.

I used this on my noisy office gear and it works
I grabbed this DeoxIT spray for my home office because a couple of things were driving me nuts. My sit stand desk controller kept glitching and the volume knob on my old speakers was crackling every time i turned it. I’m 34 and work from home most days, so little annoyances add up fast. First thing I did was unplug everything and give the speaker knob a quick spray, then turned it back and forth a bunch of times. The crackle pretty much disappeared right away, which made me reallly glad I didn’t toss the speakers. 🎧 Then I used the low setting on the valve for my keyboard switches and mouse buttons. I just did short bursts and clicked a few times and they felt smoother without getting sticky. The different spray levels are actually useful. I use low for small stuff and bump it up when I’m hitting the contacts on my treadmill console and power strip. I like that I can be careful instead of blasting product everywhere. One random thing I appreciate. The can hasn’t leaked in my drawer, and the straw stays on, so I’m not digging around for tiny parts. Feels like something I’ll keep on hand in my little office toolbox.

Hervorragender Kontaktreiniger

Magic in a can for old motorcycle electrical systems
I own and restore old motorcycles and I’d buy this stuff even if it was $100 a can. Nothing revives inoperable handlebar switches, ignition switches and corroded connectors better. The ability to choose one of 3 spray volumes by turning the spray nozzle is brilliant: it prevents overspray and waste.

Half points.
The Deoxit works, but the spray attachment is really bad and wastes a lot.
