Good read

Inspirational and practical.

"Faith Beyond Reason" is yet another great title by AW Tozer. This title focuses on the Christian faith that cannot be explained by mere human reasoning. Around 160 pages, Tozer covers many excellent points, including:- The danger of commercialized and forced religious faith (I dare say this seems to happen a lot in the American church).- Faith in God is greater than faith in human reason.- Christianity is not a part-time commitment.- Be careful of winsome personalities that can divert you from Jesus.- Be careful of humor that makes fun of holy things.- Some things we will only learn with alone with God.- Instead of taking a worldly crown, settle for God's cross in your life.The book is well-written, full of penetrating insights, and will challenge you to lean onto God Almighty instead of human reasoning. Great read and will be read again. Recommended.

I actually purchased the book to give to a friend. I have had a copy of the original printing of the book since 1911. It was given to me by a friend who inherited it from her mother. Her mother died in 2001. My friend gave me the boo because she has an electronic copy. I am a bif fan of Tozer.Billy Graham when he was a student at Wheaton College and other students from Wheaton College went to hear Tozer preach in South Chicago at Sunday Evening Services. Tozer never went to a seminary. He was a self taught theologian. Billy Graham much later in live said: A. W. Tozer was anointed by God to preach the gospel!!" Many of his books were published after his death in 1963. Faith Beyond Reason should be one of your bestsellers!!.

Tozer is just awesome, if you don't like it being told as it is, you won't like this book, but its refreshing amongst all the fluff that is about, this book, as with all Tozer's works, will ground and centre you back in Christ, (if you allow it of course)

More excellent messages from Tozer and excellent teaching. A great read for any Christian. Makes me want to read more of his writings.
