Men's Dual-Layer Thermal Underwear Long Sleeve Crew Top

Living in Michigan, I've been wearing thermal underwear my whole life, and I've been disappointed with virtually every brand and type I've ever tried. So naturally, I was a bit skeptical about the last line in the description for this latest venture: "THE BASIC - DELIVERS COMFORT AND WARMTH IN ALL COLD WEATHER ENVIRONMENTS - WHETHER AT HOME, ON THE JOB OR ENJOYING THE OUTDOORS." But I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, so tonight when these arrived on my doorstep, I gave them the acid test... the jack-acid test.10:30pm, 5 degrees F, with a wind chill around 5 below zero. Ordinarily under those conditions, I would wear my insulated coveralls to go out to the barn to get a load of firewood for the house. But tonight, I decided to see just how well these thermals lived up to their claim. I wore the http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EF1K3ZC under my jeans, and the ColdPruf top under an unlined hooded sweatshirt with just a jacket on the top. The bottoms kept my legs so warm that even my toes stayed warm - something I can hardly ever manage. And the top kept my body so warm that I was sweating - sweating enough so the ColdPruf top AND the sweatshirt were both soaked, but even with the wet clothes, I still stayed warm.Needless to say, these passed the test with flying colours.As for the sizing, it seems to be pretty accurate. I'm 6'3" & about 200lbs. I wear 34W/36I pants and usually buy XL shirts (L for t-shirts). So I went with size Large-Tall for both the bottoms and the top, and they fit perfectly. The bottoms would still be long enough even for someone with a 38 inch inseam. The sleeves of the top are long enough to reach my wrists and to stay there, even when I'm active, when other shirts tend to ride up my arms. The body of the top is long enough that there is no way it will come untucked from my pants.All in all, these have by far exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be buying more of them!

Very good product, super warm but breathable, will keep you warm and dry. This is a double layer and it shows. The lack of inner stitches makes it really comfortable to wear. Sometimes I use it all day long. Would buy again

I have bought many Coldpruf thermals base layers over the years. My favorite has become a rarity (the LG Tall Platinum). That one has a lot more heat retention than this one. The comparison on this one is it's cheaper, but works good. I think they are tighter on my body, more spandex in it, but not uncomfortable. I wear a sweatshirt or jacket with these, and obviously a tee shirt, but they are still warmer due to the 2 layer construction. Overall I would recommend them, but only as a base. You'll feel warmer as soon as you put it on. The Platinum is way warmer, so you can wear it and a Tee and be comfortable at least to the mid 50 degree mark.

I ordered one of these shirts and one from the top brand to make a side by side comparison. The "good" one cost over 4 times what this one sells for. I got them both on the same day, so the following day (after they had both been washed) I tried the "wonderarmour" and it felt cold on my skin as soon as I put it on. It was VERY tight like a compression garment but I wore it all day anyway. I had some outdoor and indoor work that day and I didn't freeze to death, but the shirt was so tight I think I lost more heat just due to that! The next day I tried the coldpruf shirt. It fit better and felt like I was wrapped in a fleece blanket. I had about the same amount of out to in work as I had had the day before, but it was about ten degrees warmer. I was MUCH warmer with the second shirt. PLUS... when I was inside, I could push the sleeves up my arms to wash my hands or just keep them clean, which I couldn't do with the armour stuff because it was too tight (I'm 6'3" and 185#, so a large shouldn't be that tight on me!) After the side by side test, I bought three more of these shirts. They're not fancy... and they don't have stripes and squeeze you like an anaconda... but they keep you warm when you layer up. That's what I wanted.

I was buying this for my son to use under his Halloween costume to keep him warm. But it was too big for him. Since it was so inexpensive (under $6.00) I thought rather than return it I'd just wash it and see if it would shrink. It washed up nice and only shrank a little bit. Lucky for me not enough to fit my son.I really like this shirt! It's roomy( but not baggy), it's stretchy and very comfy. it's not overly thick like most long underwear but it's going to be perfect for cozy lounging and I'm sure it will keep me warm under a flannel. I know if I let my husband try it on he's going to want it. For the price I just ordered 2 more.

Just saw that the first time I ordered this was 2015. I have ordered more since then. NOT BECAUSE IT WORE OUT. No, more because I wanted to have more of them. The original one is still on excellent condition. Absolutely a wonderful product.Hard the express the level of heat retention. So I'll just say I waste one one of these under a polo shirt and then a normal hoodie over top and do no wear a coat most days in the winter even though I live in PA.Size. I buy the same size as I wear in a hoodie.

Let me just say that this is the warmest under layer I have ever owned. I am in the Army and this thing works wonders so long as you are not working out and sweating. It never stinks so I dunno what it is about it but it masks odor too. My only complaint is it runs small. I bought a medium and it fits like a small, it doesn't reach my wrists.

Very light weight and comfy as an under layer. Not "grandpas" thermal underwear, but keeps the chill off without feeling like I'm wearing a quilt. I also bought a set for an older family member who is on blood thinners and perpetually cold even in the house with the heat cranked up and I had to order him another set, because I can't get him out of them. He's wearing them 24 hours a day. The top seems to run just a little bit on the short side, so if you're a medium, borderline a large, be sure to order the large. Since the top is stretch you might want to order up one size anyhow just for comfort. I'm very happy with it.

I work in a retail environment, and stand near exit doors..We have a t-shirt to wear, and definitely need layers when near these doors, as they're constantly opening and closing.I needed something that provided the warmth of wool, without the itch and that is easy to care for. This -shirt is perfect --soft, very cozy, generous fit, easy care. I can easily wear a t-shirt over top and then a hoodie and I'm cozy all day. The shirt washes very well in cold or warm water and I hang to dry. So far, no shrinking.Would definitely recommend and have purchased several.

If you spend hours ice fishing without a fishing shack then this is perfect for you. Keeps you warm and it’s light weight. It retains body heat so well. 10/10 will buy again for fellow fishing friends.

I bought this for my dad so he could wear while going for his walks. He says that it keeps him toasty and is very comfortable. Sizing is true, bought him medium and fits him well.
