Great mouse, so far...
For being just under $20.00 on the current sale, I believe you cannot find a better mouse than this. I have owned an Imperator, a Black Mamba, and a Copperhead in the past; then vowed never to buy Razer again because all ended up with double clicking issues within less than a year with only casual use. I went with a Mionix Avior Pro, only to end with the same issues within the same time-frame as the Razer mice. I then went with a Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex -- same shilt. Then it hit me: every one of these mice used Omron switches. I then vowed never to buy anything with an Omron switch. Even my dad's cheap TECKNET wireless mouse has outlasted the aforementioned 'pros'. I ended up getting a Redragon M-711 FPS in 2020 because it used an optical switch for clicking, something I had never seen used before in mice. It is still good as new after two years, without any defect or clicking issues. However, I wanted to get a quality compact mouse for my laptop to replace my TECKNET mouse because of its low DPI and its lack of pointer precision. When I saw that this Razer used a good optical sensor and *optical switches*, I knew I had something to fulfill my desire, finally. This mouse is not really 'mini' as another user noted, but is indeed a compact mouse compared to what we could call 'full-size' gaming mice. I like the lightweight drag-free cord. It really works, but causes me to question its durability. When packing the mouse for travel, I will have to take care in wrapping the cord. I like the mock powder-coated matte black plastic exterior, which dominates the majority of its surface. I like the symmetrical, neutral design, which I believe is most versatile for adapting to any mouse-grip style. The mouse comes default with five DPI presets in the center button, maxing out at 6400 DPI. This irritated me because I did not want to install their privacy-violating cloud-based Synapse spyware (read their policy). I wanted to use this mouse at max DPI (8500). So, I installed it without any of their bullshit add-ons, adjusted the DPI presets and then disabled all Razer services in MSConfig as well as set custom filters in my firewalls to block all ins and outs on their for-profit data-mining operation for Google Analytics, et al. I may try uninstalling and deleting all Razer system files and registries and see if my presets still hold--that would be ideal. I hope this review helps you in choosing a good mouse for your needs. Long story short: Stay away from OMRON switches, do look into optical switched mice, screw Google, screw Razer for railroading users into their cloud control system, declare your independence and seek God with all your heart and mind (you'll find Him); and if you don't want to, pray for a new heart and a new mind that does want to -- "And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you." (Psalm 9, verse 10).
