Four Dozen Tatted Snowflakes

Excellent patterns, instructions and images. Best quality instructions and images that I have purchased for tatting. I also like ratting each patterns for difficulty. The diagrams are exceptional and easy to follow.

Robin has done a wonderful job with his book, color photos, written instructions and two color diagrams. Her patterns are beautiful and you could have a Christmas tree covered with nearly 50 snowflakes and each one different.The only thing I would change is to have it spiral bound so I’m taking mine to Kinko’s and have them put one on.

This book has been laid out very methodically. There are lots of techniques to try. and the way the designs have been adapted, no center ring to tie off in almost all, no cutting and tieing to speak of, the way I have always wanted to re write my existing patterns. These are beautiful, I made all of them in basic white, no frills. I am round 2 with colors and beads. Wonderful.

If only all tatting pattern books were written like this! Everything about this book is exceptional...the patterns are beautiful and the use of large clear colorful diagrams AND written notation is extremely helpful. Each lovely snowflake is featured in white thread and a delicate blue color and a chart describes the finished sizes in cm for both size 20 and size 80 thread. This book is top notch in every way and is well worth the cost. Note that this book does not include tatting directions. It does rate each snowflake with a level of difficulty and most are within the range a tatter with an entry level knowledge of making rings and chains could tat with confidence.

This is not for beginners! Unless one searches how to do ex: split rings. It would have been great if there were instructions how to do Catherine wheel join. If it would make the book more expensive, it would be worth it! These snowflakes are are adorable! I’ve made three of them already. I’m determined to do all of them, even if I have to research what I don’t know. That’s how I am. The instructions are color coded and that makes it really easier to read. Large enough to see what’s going on. I am glad I bought it. Worth every penny.

Really beautiful book with clear diagrams and written patterns as well. The photography is high quality so you can see a clear picture of each design completed, including information on what size and brand of thread was used to make the samples.The designs themselves are timeless and tasteful.

I'll having a blast with these! They are fun, beautiful, and just so sweet. There are different levels to try as I gain more confidence. Even the easy rated patterns are rewarding. If you like to tat, you'll love this!
