This stuff really works on straw!
Finally found a fabric stiffener that actually worked as I had hoped! I had a straw hat that had got soaked in rain and lost its "bearings" and became too floppy for my taste. The hat was otherwise in good condition, so I wanted to try to rescue it before spending money on a new one. While the hat is not as good as new after the stiffening treatment, it is as close to original as can be after about 10 years... I was pleased that the product didn't leave a shiny coating on the straw; it stiffens unobtrusively.

Thicker than expected, but did the job
I usually use StiffenQuik for bows. This was a lot thicker and I diluted 1 part Modge Podge to 1 part water. Worked perfectly! Saved me some money...double the product for less cost

Easy to use
Didn’t do as well as the product I bought in the past that’s no longer available, but I was still happy with the outcome. Make sure you follow the directions.

Great for doily bowl craft!
This worked perfect for my doily bowl project! It was really easy to use. Just covered doilies in it then spread them over cups and bowls over a layer of plastic wrap and let sit overnight. Would be a great project for kids!

Meh
Like a lot of other people are saying its pretty much like glue and the end stiffness is a bit floppy. I used the glue directly so that it would be stronger. Might not buy it again since elmers glue achieves about the same results. I used it for crochet hat in the picture.

Does what it says
I make needle felted animals/birds and have started using this to stiffen wings, tails and beaks etc. it is super easy to use and dries quickly, with no visible residue and works a treat! Mod podge are a good quality brand with different products for different uses and this will now join my current ranks of mod podge products!
