handy to have around for fabric crafts
Going to leave some notes from my first attempts with this product in case they can help anyone else who is new to/confused about this type of stiffener. I work in costuming, so I tested on poly velvet scraps since it’s commonly-used. First thing to point out is that this is very much a glue-type product [makes sense with the brand]. Same texture and thickness to regular ol’ school glue. I could not find instructions anywhere for how much product to use so I started out with 1:3 product-to-water ratio. This crushed the velvet fibers flat, and they never lifted again when dried. The scrap is essentially a piece of paper now. When people comment on color change with this product I wonder if this is what they are actually seeing [fabric fibers being pressed in a different direction]. Second test I used a less-exact dilution of around 1:10 product-to-water ratio, which was very liquid. This resulted in a much softer and more usable velvet - crispy when dry, however still apparently velvet. I went ahead and used this same ratio on an old velvet hat just to see how this product would work on providing structure to an already-completed project. I would say it’s excellent for this sort of molding and held the shape of a wig head perfectly. Once again, the velvet texture turns scratchier [like wool felt]. The satin lining is just fine. Ultimately I will be keeping this for projects where change in tangible texture is not a big concern. I think it works amazingly for that. If you are wanting something to firm the drape of fabric for clothing you might be best off sticking to laundry starch or just sewing with interfacing. Cheers and good luck!

Stiffy works great and stays stiff until washed
This product REALLY works. It is being used to stiffen Crosses which are given to children to save they become rigid and stay that way

WORKS BEAUTIFULLY
Success on First Try! I was skeptical because I've never used any sort of fabric stiffener and wanted to harden the prim Halloween decor I'm designing to sell. Well, happy to say that this is great! I painted it on my hand sewn items and it hardened the cloth perfectly! DRIED TRANSPARENT! One was a raven made out of black cotton/polyester and the other was ghosts made from drop cloth fabric, larger textured fabric, and they both hardened perfectly!! Will continue to purchase this product because it worked. I don't have to try and find another brand. I love the size of the bottle, not too small! I'd buy this in quarts!

Good stiffner.
This stuff works great. Almost too well. Using it on older made dollies and noticed if I use too much on the thinner ones it actually makes them slightly brittle. Otherwise I found it to work the best for a stiffner.

Not bad
Good to have, buy regular mod podge stiffens better.

Stiffy is great for arts and crafts!
I use Stiffy to make ghosts out of gauze diapers. It does a wonderful job. If the ghost gets out of shape in storage, you can mist it with cool water and reshape it.

It worked but you could just use glue
Good product. Did exactly what it said it would. But so would diluted elmers glue. 🤷♀️
