These headphones are sensational and worth every penny they cost!
Honestly, I love my new upgraded Avantree Plus headphones. There are so many good things to say about them, the list goes on and on. However, here are a few highlights to give you some idea of how sensational these headphones are... For someone who is somewhat technically challenged, set-up was a breeze because of the new no fuss auto-pairing capability between the headphones and transmitter - very cool and very convenient. Another new, exciting and appealing feature is the excellent quality of sound provided by the headphone's three sound modes. Since I watch a variety of movies, documentaries and videos, this feature is very desirable and useful. Additionally, the headphones substantial but light-weight construction and its luxuriously-cushioned earcups make for a very pleasant experience when I watch videos or listen to my favorite music for as long as I want without any discomfort at all. I highly recommend these headphones! As for customer service, I had a problem with one of my previous Opera headphones that was damaged by a very unusual accident. Since it was covered by a 2-year warranty I contacted Avantree and explained what had happened. I have to say everything went exceedingly well. The representative was professional, considerate and a real pleasure to deal with. Subsequently, after Avantree reviewed the issue, it was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction. Now that is outstanding customer service. Bravo Avantree!

Wireless gaming awesomeness with high quality headphones!
I have been an Avantree Opera owner almost 3 years now & absolutely love them! The solid sound quality is amazing. They have deep & wide ranging sound quality plus here’s no lag between sound and video images. The Avantree Opera’s hold a long battery charge so I can use them all day without ever running out of battery power. I’ve even used them multiple days without recharging before without any problems. Avantree wireless headphones are an absolute game-changer for gamers wanting wireless Bluetooth headphones for audio-video graphics. This was actually the main reason I purchased the Avantree Operas. I especially love how I can simultaneously connect a second set of wireless bluetooth headphones to my same optic-connected TV. This allows me to use an additional set of Shokz wireless earphones for Xbox gaming so my wife doesn’t have to put up with all the sound effects yet I can still hear her as needed. It’s also great that you can lock-in your Avantree Opera’s and a second set of wireless headphones so they both automatically reconnect with each subsequent use. Mechanics & Customer Service: I only had one problem develop after around a couple years of use when the Opera’s automatic wireless connection started failing. My initial call to Janice in customer service was honestly terrible. In fact, Janice, was absolutely the worse experience I’ve ever had with a customer service representative in my 62 years of life. I was glad they record customer service calls & document interactions via emails. I’m sure Janice got some retraining or something after I let them know about her in follow-up calls. Avantree’s service immediately improved with my second call to Kate. She actually listened respectfully in order to understand the problem. Kate indicated I had likely purchased their original design that has since been updated to an improved model. Kate referred me to a supervisor as I requested, Jeany. Jeany contacted me promptly. She did an excellent job listening, understanding, trouble shooting & actually resolving the problem!Jeany ultimately requested that my older malfunctioning model be replaced with their newer design. The replacement was a complete success & I was very happy with Jenny’s help. I’m very thankful to Kate, Jeany & their management for doing the right thing to resolve & restore my love of Avantree Opera wireless headphones. Despite the one terrible instance of one bad customer service experience with Janice, I remain happily satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend Avantree Opera headphones!

Avantree Opera Wireless Headphones Review
I am hard of hearing and need headphones to watch TV. I got a new TV that only had digital attachments, so my old analog headphones had to go. I decided based on price and reviews to try the Avantree opera. It was easy to set up, although it did not work at first until I realized the Dolby sound on the TV had to be shut off for the unit to work(which is in the instruction manual). I have now had it for 10 days. It pairs flawlessly to the transmitter. It has never dropped a signal unless I go to the opposite side of my apartment which is several rooms away. It works fine in any other place in the apartment. The sound is excellent. With my old headphones I frequently needed to read the closed captions to fully understand what was being said, with the Opera I mostly have stopped needing the closed captions due to the improved clarity. The headphones are over the ear and I can wear them either with or without my behind the ear hearing aids. The headphones are reasonably comfortable to wear even for long periods of time. I do need to turn the volume of my hearing aids down a bit if I am wearing them to prevent feedback squeal. I have a significant hearing loss and do need the unit volume turned up fairly high without my aids, but can hear very well. I have now paired the headphones with my computer and my phone, and it pairs easily. I have a device to bluetooth connect my hearing aids to my cellphone, and I have to say that using the Opera with or without aids on may be better. With other headphones I have used to make phone calls, people frequently said they had difficulty hearing me. I have now made a number of calls with the Opera and people have said they heard me fine. So far I am very satisfied with this purchase, and it actually works better than I thought it would. 5 Stars.

They work great, happy I chose them.
I'm severely hard of hearing and needed a replacement for my trusty old wireless (non-bluetooth) Sennheisers. I'm wary of bluetooth devices because more times than not, they fail to provide the volume I need to hear comfortably. I took a chance on the Avantree Opera, and I'm happy I did. Not only is there enough volume, with some to spare, but the sound quality is crisp and clear. If these headsets have enough volume for me, you folks with normal hearing or mild to moderate hearing losses are going to be drowning in quality sound. They are very comfortable and I no longer have to worry about anyone else hearing what's coming out of the headsets - they're well insulated and keep it all inside. The setup (I'm using optical to the TV hub) was simple, and they work fine even though I have the transmitter inside a solid wood cabinet. Unless you're planning on using the headsets for other devices (I occasionally use them with my laptop or phone), I suggest you use the "lock" feature so the bluetooth will automatically connect to the transmitter as soon as you turn them on. If you don't, you may need to turn the headset and/or the transmitter off/on to get the bluetooth to reconnect. I had contacted Avantree's pre and post sales customer service, and both were responsive and knowledgeable. While I like this equipment a lot, I dinged the rating 1 star (would have been 1/2 if that was possible) for 2 small quibbles. The first is that they give you a power cable (fast-charging USB C, which goes into the transmitter or the headsets) to USB 2 which goes into whatever your power source is, assuming you have a USB outlet available for that purpose. I didn't, so I needed to plug it into an outlet, but they don't give you a power adapter. These adapters cost about $3.00, and I think its absurd that they don't include one with the package. The other thing is that while they tout this product as great for seniors, all the switches (volume, on/off, mute etc) are tiny and black on black; i.e., hard to see for a lot of us older types. A couple of strategically placed LEDs would go a long way to helping out. Those small complaints aside, the Opera is a great product and I highly recommend it.

I've been an Avantree fan for a decade and this is it for me.
I've been an Avantree fan for over 8 years since I purchased the HT4189 back in 2018. I loved the 0ms latency so speech wasn't weird in movies I'd watch. I loved the long-term battery. Heck even the headsets are durable I can fall asleep wearing these and they only slightly would break. The Avantree Opera (original) was my peak. The Opera+ is absolute garbage. First of all plugging my headset in and I have a constant whine. I'm not an audiophile but I would appreciate my quiet scenes be quiet and not full of hornet buzzing. I know it's the tower because I put the new headphones onto my old Opera tower as 'phone mode' and they worked perfectly with no buzz (also interesting note, if you have the Opera the Opera+ headset might work with it but as a bluetooth connection). So you're using an Opera+ headset with the old Opera tower. It has worse range and penetration between walls and since it's bluetooth if you lose connection THAT IS IT. Enjoy losing everything and having to reset your headset back at your PC. Hell even waking up my PC I have to un-charge my headset first and pray it actually connects otherwise I'll be placing it on and off the charging tower until it decides to connect. To be fair the headset pairing with its destined Avantree tower always works out perfectly. It's a shame about the Opera+ whine. The audio quality is fine. The issue is that even a layer of tissue paper will disrupt the connection of the Opera+ headset. With my Opera I could walk outside and grab stuff from my car and keep listening to my podcast. And finally too much talking. The Opera had audio cues for being plugged in, turned on, low battery. The Opera+ won't shut up. If I'm the long-term user of the Opera+ I will ultimately learn what the sounds mean. I don't need a full history every time I hit 50% battery. TL;DR + Latency 0 + Headset can be replaced +Old tower works with new headsets (as bluetooth) - Background audio hum - Annoying voice - Reduced indoor range

Great product, even better customer support!
The sound quality of these headphones is really good. I use them when watching tv and movies, so I don't disturb my wife. Easy to setup and a great value for money. Their customer support is fantastic. I had an issue with them after nearly 2 years of regular use. Without any hassle, they replaced them as they were under warranty. Great experience.

Awesome Item That works Great
My wife loves to watch TV AFTER it's time for us to go to bed. I was struggling for months listening to her watching TV in our bedroom until stumbling across this concept. Wireless headphones that plug right into the TV set and require zero effort or pairing or fighting to keep them working. Looked at many similar items before picking this brand, and I feel I made the right move. 26" Samsung Flat screen LED TV about 5 years old. Bought this set of headphones to try. Right from the packaging I was impressed. Strongly built, brightly colored box that we kept for future use. Headphones sit on the Charging base stand so no wires and chargers sitting around looking junky. Plug the headphones into a USB cube (more on that later) and plug the cube into the receptacle. Already charged right from the store. Comes with a few options to connect to the TV. We used the OPTIC cable just because it's a clean and more direct source. Plug the Optic cable into the back of the TV, and into the charging Stand. Lift the headphones off the stand and they immediately say something like "welcome to Avantree" then in a few seconds they say "Connected" as they connect with the charging base. Walk anywhere in the room and hear the TV thru the headphones. Then use your TV remote to put the volume of the TV on ZERO. Adjust the volume of the headphones with the volume knob on the headphones and you are now listening to the TV with the headphones only. My wife also claims they are very comfortable and she has watched TV for a few hours at a time without discomfort. I have used many types of headphones in my life, and it's not easy to find a pair that is comfortable for long periods of time. Best part, let's say I suddenly decide to watch TV or a certain part of a show with her ? She continues wearing the headphones at her volume level, and I just use the Remote to turn the volume up on the TV speakers. Turn it back to ZERO when I'm done and she continues on watching and hearing TV at her set level. Had for about two month now and very pleased. The USB Cube I mentioned ? The OPERA headphones include a FREE USB cube with your purchase. Now they do not include them in the box, which is a smart idea on their part. They require you to go to their website and REGISTER the headphones. Once you register the headphones, you double the warranty period AND they then offer you a FREE high quality USB CUBE with their brand name on it. My USB cube arrived 4 days after I ordered it for FREE with FREE postage. Seriously, it's FREE - no gimmicks. I have not gotten a single email or offer or advertisement from Avantree in the last 2 months since I registered. I actually had trouble locating where the FREE USB cube was listed, and late at night I used their CHAT which was popped up on the screen ready to go. Immediately a friendly person came on, thanked me for registering and the purchase and linked me to the correct spot. Never once has it disconnected or not worked as soon as they are picked up from the charging stand. I never give a review unless I feel very strongly about a product. I highly recommend these and I hope you have the good luck I did.

Works Great
My hearing isn't the greatest so I typically need the volume higher than many other people. These headphones allow me to watch TV at a level that works for me while the TV is either on mute or at a more comfortable level for others watching. The volume buttons are located on the right headphone. It was easy to get used to adjusting the volume (e.g. quiet talking versus explosions or loud commercials). For me, the sound quality seems pretty good and the headphones are comfortable to wear. The headphones are over the ear style. I typically only wear them for a couple of hours at a time so I don't know if they'd still be comfortable for longer use. It was easy to set up. Just turn on the stand/charging unit and the headphones. Pairing was quick and automatic. I don't know how long the charge lasts. While I've never run the power out completely, I've never had any issues for how I use them. After use, I'll just hang the headphones back on the charger - very convenient. I haven't encountered any lips sync issues. Sometimes I'll wonder around doing other things while the headphones are on. I haven't had any issues with the range of the headphones from the the stand. I was annoyed by 1 item. A USB cable is included for charging. However, an AC to USB charging unit isn't included. I don't have anything near the TV to plug in a USB cable for charging. So I had to go out and buy a AC to USB charging unit. Wasn't expecting that give the price of these headphones. I have a spare laptop that I could use for charging but it doesn't have an always on USB port. So, it wouldn't charge the headphones while the laptop is off. Overall, I'm very pleased with them. They're still very new so I can't comment on how durable they'll be. Update - Oct 19/22 - durability isn't what I thought it would be. The foam cushion at the top between the 2 ear pieces is coming apart. Didn't expect them to come apart in less than 2 years use - not at this price.

Bin begeistert!!!
On/Off und +/-. Mittlerweile weiß ich es auswendig, aber für Leute mit beginnenden Demenz oder durch andere gesundheitliche Einschränkungen die das Erinnerungsvermögen einschränken wäre eine bessere Kennzeichnung wichtig.

Surprisingly good overall
I'm impressed by the sound quality (especially when using XM3's) and range and also like the look of the base station, it is very slim. Low latency is also good enough (almost as good as my aging Sennheiser RS 170's). The audio pass-through feature is also more useful than I originally thought it would be for my setup and allowed to me remove an audio splitter and cable. The supplied headphones are also better than I expected and fit me well. They are also very light and comfortable and sound quality is also ok. One issue I have is that I need to re-pair Sony WH-1000XM3' s noise-cancelling headphones every time I use them (that is, after using on other devices). The good news re-pairing is very easy from the base station. Another slightly annoying thing (that is noted in the manual) is when the supplied headphones are charging the base station doesn't transmit anymore. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a long range Bluetooth transmitter. with good audio quality and low latency, especially if they require headphones as well.
