20,000 BTU Vent Free Blue Flame Dual Fuel Heater

This gas heater was a great purchase. I am preparing my mom's home for the winter after the last bad storm. It is a great way for emergency heat. It has a battery for the fan so that when the power goes out, the fan will still work. The structure is well made with steel and a white paint. Everything was included even the battery for the contractor to attach it to the wall. Easy to use and turns off if the fire goes out. Great product!

Easy to install. I won't use it until winter, but the pilot flame started easily and its ready to heat my greenhouse.

Very happy with this heater. We use it with propane; and purchased this to replace a kerosene heater that cause a layer of grayness on the walls and and had a that smell. I love that there is no smell and that the propane is cheaper than kerosene. The instructions that came with the product could be better, but the product itself is great. The heat output is good as it It warms the den and living room of our house. The blue flame is attractive and I find looking at it quite soothing. It is a good value for the money.

It is s good unit heat my small house very well. The only problem is I could not hook up to propane tank. I has to go out and buy adapter to hoop up to my tank. Happy with it of then that.

Replaced a 16 year old heater. This one is easier to use and works great. Have already used it and very pleased with the temperature control.

Works very well and the blue flame adds a nice touch

This product will work with either natural gas or propane. However, it is designed to be set up and stay in one or the other. It comes set up for propane and requires modification to be used with natural gas. If you modify it for natural gas, it must be re-modified to switch it back to propane if you later choose to use propane. It is designed to be in a "permanent" installation, not as a "portable". Note that a "professional" is recommended to accomplish the change and set up of the heater. There is no easy way to allow you to switch gas supply from one or the other for use depending on which is available when you need to use this appliance. For example, a dual fuel power generator allows you to easily select the desired fuel depending on the fuel preference available at the time of use. Changing fuel types is not easy with this appliance. Thus, in my opinion, it is not a true dual fuel appliance. Please also note that the Mr. Heater brand makes similar units that will operate from only one fuel, either propane or natural gas. These are available at lower cost. If you know your available fuel source ahead of time, simply order the appropriate model and save some money. This might be more appropriate to keep in stock by a contractor, someone that services different locations and doesn't know which he might need to keep on hand for various customers. It does have a location to mount an optional blower fan to help circulate the heat. The fan mounts on the back (not shown in the pictures). So if a fan is used, it would not be able to use the wall mount option. The fan, of course, requires an electricity source, but the heater does not. The mounting location for the fan appears to be a "knockout" type, that must be punched out for mounting to mount the fan. I did not attempt to mount a fan, so I do not know how easy it is to install. The box was very beat up when received, but the unit appears to be intact and nothing appears to be obviously missing. There is no detailed list of what should be in the box. The screws provided are not identified as to their individual purpose. I am returning it since it does not meet my needs for a dual fuel appliance. Otherwise, it appears to be a well built unit. I did not use the unit so I cannot comment on actual function.
