I LOVE these noodles!
I read all of the negative comments about these noodles, and you do have to cook these a little bit different. You have to use a little bit more water than you usually would. Most important, you need to stir them a lot more than you would regular noodles while they are cooking, or they will clump up into a big ball. I also like to rinse them under water when I am finished cooking them. I have experienced the same things that all of the negative reviewers did, but the only difference is that I gave them another chance thinking that it was probably because of the way I cooked them. They are different than regular spagetti noodles, and so they need to be cooked different. My family loves these noodles. They taste just like regular noodles if you cook them right. I can't tell a difference with the finished outcome. One of the reviews says that they cook down to nothing, but I haven't had that experience. I can feed my very large family with one bag and have leftovers for the next day. I have been eating these for about a year now, and they are wonderful!!! Don't be afraid to give them a try after reading all of the negative comments. But do be sure that you cook them right. If they don't turn out it might be because of the way you cooked them :)My bags do say that they are manufactured in a facility that also manufactures products with wheat. Whenever I eat wheat by accident I get a horrible stomach ache, and so far these haven't affected me. But do be aware that they are manufactured in a facility that also manufactures products with wheat.

Tastes like wheat pasta
Being gluten free can present a challenge for those who love pasta, (and who doesn't?). Heartland is the only spaghetti I buy because it has the right texture, taste and appearance of wheat pasta. Mygluten-eating husband can't tell the difference! You do have to cook it a little longer and is not bestal-dente. You also have to stir it a couple of times during cooking. But that is true of all gluten free pastas. please don't stop carrying this product!

Tastes just like regular pasta
I have tried a lot of gluten free pastas, but none as good as the Heartland. Most of the others have a super "corny" taste that is just weird, or only goes with things like Mexican food. And all of the others also have super rigid cooking time windows -- they either come out way too mushy or way too firm. There are even warnings on the packages about over cooking. The Heartland Gluten Free Spaghetti cooks exactly like I used to cook regular spaghetti -- put it in a pot of boiling water, stir, cover the pot, turn off the heat, stir once or twice and in 12 minutes it's done. I've even let it go about 15 minutes on accident and the noodles were still perfect. When I add the sauce and top with cheese and pop in the oven to bake/melt the cheese, it does not get mushy. And there is no weird/distracting corn taste messing up my Italian sauces. I am so pleased. Be mindful that one package is only 12 ounces as opposed to 16 ounces, so it states that it should be 6 servings. Around here it is more like 3 to 4. Also, it is not a thin spaghetti, it is a thicker noodle, which I prefer, but others may not.

Great Pasta
Wish this was available in local grocery stores. This is the best dried pasta (gluten free) that I have tried..

Best so far, but no longer offered in the "Subscribe & Save" program
I really loved this pasta! It tastes just like natural spaghetti but without all the pain and issues associated with gluten. Many other products would come out mushy and like oatmeal - but not this one, it tastes so much like ordinary pasta, I cannot tell the difference.I just purchased the "bionaturae Organic gluten-free pasta" because the Heartland G.F pasta has increased in price, is frequently out of stock, and no longer participates in the "Subscribe & Save" option (for those who aren't aware of this program, it saves you 15% and you can cancel at any time). The other product mentioned, the Bionaturae pasta gives you 6 packs of spaghetti (rather than 5 included in Heartland) and still costs less when choosing the subscribe & save. The Bionaturae is offered in the subscribe & save and also has great reviews, so we'll see how it turns out. If it doesn't measure up to the heartland then I will just bit the bullet and order the heartland product.
