Very impressed.
Love this book! Easy to read and some excellent references to additional material that I will definitely use.... one resource led me to a free angularjs app for my phone that lists all the commands, (End of chapter 1).Love the review questions with answers.

This is a great book, very easy to work with
Well organized and thorough. The instructions to set up a local dev environment are very clear. The hands on examples reinforce the information in the chapter. This is a great book, very easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Good book for a fair price.
Preety complete book on this resources. A lot of information for a fair price, you can look all of this online if you have the time. The code examples are OK but you need the source code to fully understand them. I was looking for an AngularJS book, this will get you started. The JavaScript side is simple but if you know nothing it is a ver good resources. The Jquery is basic but most of the developers will find it to be enough. All things consideres a good tutoriales on all this resources.

I really like the format of the TY books and this one is great. It starts out basic and builds from there. Other publishers seem to be asking what my 2nd Ph.D Is in.

I already knew quite a bit about JavaScript and I might have liked this book better if I were trying to learn JavaScript. Also, it has a workbook format with problems. But I was just trying to get a quick overview of how everything fit together. From this perspective, it doesn't provide anything interesting about JavaScript and just briefly hits the basics of JQuery and AngularJS. Someone new to JavaScript might find this book more valuable.

Bad Book
I can't stand this book. Chapter 1 is all about setting up Eclipse, Nodeclipse and an Express web server. After messing with this for a whole day, I cannot get the Express Web Server to run. I followed the steps meticulously. There is ambiguity on one step, asking for a file to be created that will be used to launch the Express web server, but it doesn't specify what file type to create. I tried every file type available and only encountered errors when running the script presented in the book. I surfed the 'net quite a bit for how to start an Express web server in Eclipse but nothing was even close to the techniques recommended in this book. I am not new to computer science in anyway - I have a bachelors and masters degree in software engineering and was looking forward to learning AngularJS. I wasted an entire day trying to get this web server running. I will return this book and purchase an O'Reilly's.
