Not bad value, but not particularly user-friendly
I originally bought this because I was becoming increasingly troubled by nuisance calls. It was fairly easy to install, and to be fair it did screen calls quite well, but there were one or two significant drawbacks. I didn't like the default outgoing message (which sounds very confrontational - it’s enough to deter all callers, not just unwanted ones!) so tried to record my own, but the sound quality of mine was mediocre at best. Incoming callers found the messaging facility very confusing to use, and the sound quality of the recorded messages was pretty poor with a constant buzzing in the background. If you're looking for a cheap call-screening device this one does do the job, but there are better options available if you're prepared to pay a bit more. In the end I returned it and did just that.

Feels and looks a bit cheap - and you might need your own connection cables.
This product looks and feels a bit cheap and the one I received seems to have been sent out to another customer before. Its also a bit expensive for what it is and I almost returned it. The one I got was not the latest version and was preloaded with a horrible American voice message. It seems to do the job but I wouldn't buy it again. If it was £30 it would be far better value. It should do the job for few years but when I eventually replace the phones again I will retire it. The latest BT landline phones have this very function built in. Typically I found this out just after I bought my new phones!

Nuisance call blocker
What I like about it is because it blocks unknown numbers of which I am so impressed about.

A better solution for vulnerable people
A good solution for elderly and applications where people are vulnerable. Most solution work on the premise that all calls are good and you have to block them as you go.!With this device you can set up a “whitelist” that only allows safe numbers to get through.

Didn’t work with Panasonic phone
I thought I’d found the perfect call blocker at a good price, but when connected to my Panasonic phone it did not block or answer any calls at all, despite trying several times and checking phone line etc.It was only when I looked deep into the instruction manual that I found that it “may not work with some Panasonic phones”.Otherwise the seller delivered quickly and the price was good.

Check compatibility.
Unfortunately, this device was incompatible with my phone system. All I got was a completely dead line. It had to go back. Shame, because it looked to be just what I needed.
