If I'm accurate, then the answer is not true, the mineral that Coop Refresher is based on is organic and ideal for amending your compost; it adds Nitrogen and Potassium, both well needed nutrients in plant/vegetable growth, while also managing moisture (holds moisture), which is necessary for optimal biological degradation (microbial activity) of the organic matter into finished and cured compost. Can this product be used with pine shavings?

Will this work to remove dog urine smell in my back yard?

I thought I responded to this prior to traveling this past week, my apologies if I did not. Yes, Coop Refresher can be used for dogs (and cats, hamster, rabbits, etc...) in the backyard or in any type of pet companion environment. Coop Refresher doesn't "remove" odors, but rather, neutralizes or eliminates the ammonia odor and moisture from the pet habitat. Depending upon the size and number of dogs, an application (see reverse on bag) of Coop Refresher will work instantly to mitigate odors, assuming your picking up the solids. If you are using bio-degradable bedding in the dog run, Coop Refresher further helps with the compost process by adding a bit of Nitrogen and Potassium and managing the moisture in the compost.
