Nice DIY Keyboard Drawer
Easy to put together and worked perfect to declutter my desktop. Actually this will give me more room to clutter stuff up but you know.

Great Quality Hardware!
I needed a fairly narrow keyboard tray for my small desk set up and this hardware was the perfect solution. Assembly was quick and simple, and the tray slides smoothly and easily. Everything you need is included except for the board itself.

Does the job
These work as expected. Only "issue" I have is they move WAY too easily. Would be nice if they had some method of adding resistance to slow the sliding, or a "hard stop" that can be easily adjusted. Or both. i'd give them 4.5 stars, but thats not an option.

Perfect for my Ikea desk
Decided to redesign my home office and purchased some shelves and a table top from Ikea to replace old computer desk. Unfortunately the hight of my new desk was a little too much so started looking for clamp on keyboard trays. unfortunatly almost all of the trays for sale were too long and would fit until I discovered the tray rails without the board. Directions and assembly were straight forward. Once I cut my board to my desired length, assembly took less than 15 mins with keyboard tray. As a word of caution... if you have a thick table top (mine is 1 -1/2") and use an average shelf board for your tray (mine was 5/8" thick)... you will have to flip the rails upside down when you mount them to the clamps. Otherwise the tray board will hang too close to the underside of your table top. Hoping that this product comes back in stock soon as I want purchase another key board rail kit for my other Ikea desk. Advantages: Sturdy product- no slipping of the clamp so far. Easy assembly with simple house hold tools ( screw driver/ drill) Custom fit as you decide what size tray will work for you. Clamps come with fitted rubber pads to on both sides of the clamp to prevent dents/ scratches. Disadvantages: Clamps are little bulky and unsightly both on top and from the bottom. The top of the clamp sits about 3/16" on top of your workspace. So if you cut your board to short you could have an annoying 2 lumps in your work space. Ref to picture. This is the reason why I gave the product 4 stars. There is always someone out there who wants to sizes and materials... so i'll share that for those who are interested. Desk: 2x Ikeas Kallex shelfs units (30 3/8" x 30 3/8" x 15 1/2") 1x Ikea Linnmon Table top (59" x 29 1/2" x 1 1/2") Dahle self healing cutting mat 24" x 36" Tray board Used an old particle board shelf that was cut to 21-1/2" x 11-1/2" x 5/8"

Very sturdy smooth rail for any sized tray
I needed a custom sized tray to make space for both a mouse, full keyboard, and little temporary space to jot notes, place smartphone, or any other temporary items that I need to take care of. Since I already had a stand-up keyboard stand made of solid wood that I wanted to re-use the top, I decided to purchase just the rails and get rid of the stand legs. This set of rails is smooth and sturdy, clicks when both pushed fully in and fully out. Since these are just rails, you can place them anywhere in almost any distance apart to fit custom sized trays. I put my 3/4" thick solid wood top that I re-purposed from the stand (it's slightly under 3 ft wide and 9" deep) and the rail can slide it without wobbling or shaking. The metal the rails and clamps are made of are solid and sturdy. The screws fit well and hold well. There are 3 holes and 3 screws for each rail but you only need 2 (choose the two that balance out the tray so it doesn't put too much pressure), I only used 2 wood screws per rail since my wood tray was only 9" deep and was placed slightly outward, and that still held well. Overall the assembly was easy, you just need a drill and a screwdriver for well-finished install. Perfect for custom sized keyboard trays.

Works great if you need a more narrow setup
After trying about three different keyboard trays that promised to fit my kinda weird desk, I realized that I needed a much more narrow platform that most were sellling. So I paired these, which have brackets 1/4 shorter than the other Vivo setups, with a 16” solid plank of HD plastic and, voila, after weeks of frustration, the perfect ergonomic setup. I live in an apartment, so I didn’t really want to have to match and finish a hardwood plank, but the plastic looks like it came from the factory that way, so I’m very happy with the way it came together.

Sturdy rails and clamps, gives a lot of flexibility
Very well built for rails with a clamp, and will give the customer a lot of flexibility for adapting it to their needs. In my case, I needed it to improve my posture at my desk by getting the keyboard and mouse lower so that my arms are relaxed and level while allowing the monitors to be at the proper eye level. And to let me have more desk surface. This allows all of the checkboxes to be checked. Yay!

I wanted an EXTRA long keyboard shelf. These allowed me to do that and work great!
These are excellent and work great! I wanted an extra long keyboard shelf and these allowed me to accomplish that. I just bought a 12" deep MDF closet shelf at Lowe's for around $10, cut it to the length I wanted, and it was extremely easy to screw in and assemble. They have rubber pads so that the vice clamps on the hardware don't damage your desk surface. Only thing to keep in mind is that the wider your keyboard tray, the more you'll have to be careful when you open and close it. Use 2 hands, or use one hand in the center, or else the tray won't close equally on both ends, as you can see in the video I provided. However, it is and was expected for the size of my tray I created. The strength of the tray itself when leaned/pressed on is very strong and does not give. Excellent build quality and durability! AAA+++

Great clamps
Do what they meant to do I actually made a large shelf fairly wide and handles it without any problem. Have got a Music midi keyboard on it and works very well.

A good retrofit to the VIVO pull down and out mechanisms
I purchased the pull out and under version of the VIVO keyboard and mouse tray in the summer. We only got to actually adding it to my desk at the weekend. After many hours of working out where which screw went where I found that my chair had to be much lower than expected and it set my sciatica off and it was also much to difficult to get my legs under the tray. I then saw this made by VIVO as well. This afternoon after it arrived we had it attached to the desk within half and hour. The other item took over 2 hours to attach as we had to work out what was the minimum length that was required for the desk tray to be pulled out with out it getting stuck. It also caused some frustrations because of space and where the item was. Anyway let’s talk about this item. It retrofits the pullout and under tray because you can attached the middle screw to the existing screw hole and this then makes the tray more stable to add the other screws. Therefore it is really easy to fix to the existing tray. Once the C clamps are attached you simply clamp to the table. After this you can slide out the tray out and your chair can be a lot higher than it was. Slightly expensive but you get a sturdy product. The appear is ok. But there appears to be a small issue with there being a slant which isn’t fixable. I will have to relook at this. I would recommend this if you want to retrofit the existing pull-down and out contraption which is uncomfortable.
