Why no medium sized door? Your two choices are huge and tiny...

Thank you for your question! We do not offer a medium size door as dogs that cannot fit through the small door are able to easily use the large door. The large is compatible for a much larger range of dog sizes, so there is no need for a medium size for this door.

Will this keep out other pests such as mice?

When set into Automatic Mode, the door will remain locked until it detects that one of the SmartKeys has come into range of its signal, at which point it will unlock so that the flap can swing freely; after the key has left the door's range, it will then slide back into its locked position. While in the locked position, the door will be sealed off in order to prevent any critters from sneaking through it.

I want this for my cat. The concern I have is about the collar falling off. Have you had this happen or not?

We use it for our dogs and we haven't had no problem with their collars coming off. but if the cat does get hung up in the tree theirs will come off so they wouldn't be able to get back in if they lose their collar.
