Love this drive, but the game pass code doesn’t work at all; contacted the seller and they have not gotten back to me. Just beware of that if you buy this for the game pass to not work.

I bought it for backups. On Arch Linux / Windows 10 plug and play, no drivers needed. Speeds are 88~90mb on both OS. If you're looking for something to work out of the box and portable, this is the right one for you.

Almost perfect! Does everything it claims to, but i still had some hopes for more. Connection wise, works on the second time you plug it in, the application automatically launches and asks you if you want to use it for games or apps and music. Works pretty quick, although the 500mb per sec is notably slower than the series X’s 2.4 gigs per sec limit, so it doesn’t really work for most new games. but older games and apps are perfect for this drive. I bought a used one, which only had 1.8tb of storage when it was supposed to be 2tb… but i suppose being not a new one i can get over it, so marginal data loss. Summary, a rugged shelled, overcompensating hard drive that does exactly what WD says it should and absolutely nothing else. if you’re wanting to download games to this and transfer it console to console, you need a seagate 2tb or more which is like over the price of a series s by itself. But if you’re just wanting some spare space and don’t mind shuffling your games around slowly for robust storage capacity, look no further. The 6tb strikes me as a bargain and a ton of storage in one spot.

I have 2 external drives hooked up to my Series X. A 1tb Crucial X9 SSD for backwards compatible games that need quick loading like RDR2 and FFVX AND this 2TB WD Black Hard Drive for storage of games primarily. I have had good experience with WD drives so far and this is why I decided to stick with them. I have an old WD Drive still alive and kicking since the Windows Vista days. Here's hoping this drive will also last me many many years. I received the drive with a white trim but I was actually hoping to receive the one with the black trim. It don't really matter however.

My grandson was happy when he saw this. He asked for one of these for Christmas. I found this to be exactly what he wanted. Was a very good buy and had a great price. He even took it to his friend's house so he could download some of his games for his system. They do a lot of gaming together and he wanted some of his friends' games so they had more games they could play.

Easy to install and use. Great for extra storage. Very economical, fast download or upload. Xbox console recognized.

Ottimo hdd per Xbox e pc! Leggero e versatile. Peccato che alcuni giochi debbano essere istallati solo su memoria interna della console perché questo strumento è veramente capiente.
