You have to apply slightly more pressure but I really like the caps. It’s still touch sensitive and protects the tablet from getting scratches.

If I have a paper feel scream protector, will this still work?

It will work, but more important, it gives resistance when used on a glass screen protector. So if you feel the paper-like protectors take away your iPad colors, these could be a good option.

I’m not sure about that, but I only paid 3.99 for mine.

How long can it be used?

I got 30 pcs in my pack and just now put my second one on my pencil. My little cousins made a hole in the first one it lasted almost a year without having to change it.
