Great product and at the time of this posting Amazon has a good price compared to Sprouts and other stuff who carry it. My recommendation is that you spray into an irrigation solution rather than directly into your nose. You want to keep it decently sterile. I stray 3 long squirts into my irrigation solution. The value of this are the antimicrobials that are in the substance. Oregano, bay leaves, etc are all beneficial and suppress both planktonic bacteria but also suppress the formation of biofilm. If you consult international medical journals these substances have great benefits. Keep in mind not all microbes are susceptible to all substances so it can depend on what is cultured. Worth trying to see if it helps you stay well. UPDATE - April 2019 - Lead warning? Since someone is apparently trying to undercut this product based on the lead warning, it is worth you knowing what that is about (see below) and the competing risks that using this product might address. My conclusion, even knowing their issue - I stand by the product for me for several reasons. You have to balance your issues and some reported burning. Above I recommend spraying some into a larger volume of irrigation solution that might alleviate that issue. First, the risk of antibiotics failing against pan-resistant bacteria and organisms is becoming pressing. Under a 2016 CDC/NIH instruction, many doctors are now even refusing to give antibiotics for sinus infections until you have had them for 10-14 days. That of course can increase the risk of sepsis. Although an inflammatory septic response is less common off sinuses in general - then say appendicitis, - sinus infections in the sphenoid sinuses have a higher risk of sepsis that those in - say - only the maxillary sinuses. The sphenoid sinuses as millimeters off the brain and the carotid artery and most ENTs cannot reach them. Generally an ENT professor is required. So in “alerting” over the “lead” issue, carefully balance all competing risks. This product has helped me avoid antibiotics for sinus infections for more than 18 months (good for me) after 5 surgeries for sinus infections including a 4 hour surgery to debride all the sinuses including the sphenoid and frontal sinuses. They found biofilm in the sphenoid and a significant mass. Some of the rare infections I was developing have as high as a 50% mortality rate if the pathogen got fully dug in since they were naturally resistant to all biocides and antibiotics. Others would have needed only IV antibiotics of last resort. What is the lead issue? Prop 65 is a law in California that requires businesses operating or selling within the State of California to warn residents of possible exposure to a list of over 800 chemicals. The limits of these chemicals are set at 1000 times lower than the No Significant Risk Levels (NSRLs). NSRLs are the lowest amount of a chemical or other compound that have shown no harm to reproductive health, no birth defects, and no cancer in animal studies. Prop 65 excludes “naturally occurring” chemicals and minerals in plants and foods, however to prove that a compound is "naturally occurring" costs companies millions of dollars and steep legal fees. Even where Federal safety standards are clearly met, if there is any likelihood that any of the other 800+ compounds on California’s list might exceed California’s “safe harbor” levels, then a Prop 65 warning is the only way to avoid expensive lawsuits. What is a Prop 65 warning? The State of California requires the following warning "This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm" Are supplements with the Prop 65 warning unsafe? A Prop 65 warning does not mean that the use of an individual product will cause cancer or reproductive harm when used as directed. There is much debate over what a toxic level or a cumulative toxic level of each different substance is. An example, for reproductive toxins the stated level requiring a warning label is 1000 times lower than the lowest level at which animal studies reported no reproductive health effect. At this dose, the risk of harm may be very low, yet a product still requires the Prop 65 warning. An example of this is lead. The proposition 65 limit for lead is 0.5 mcg per day. The US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) safe limit for lead in drinking water is 15 mcg/L per day. To help with perspective on how some of the standards set by Proposition 65 are extremely low, many plant foods contain naturally-occurring lead from the soil it was grown in. One ounce of dark chocolate can contain about 0.6 mcg of lead, which would exceed the safe limit of lead by Prop 65 standards. So yea, compared to known pan-resistant infections in the US (meaning they are resistant to all known antibiotics), and the risk of sepsis, I will take the lead warning.

Im going to be honest, this stuff id like snorting hot sauce up your nose for 3 seconds, but I now do this most days and sometimes (during the winter/drier months) twice. But its just 3 seconds and its over. Nothing after that. This is my replacement for using a netti pot. The essentil oils and ingredients are anti-bacterial/anti-viral, and they stimulate the nasal tissues to water/flush. I usually blow my nose in 1-3 minutes after using this, and I know its been cleared/cleaned naturally. It also works really well for dry sinuses for me. One important note is that the bottle itself has 2 problems: 1) it is plastic and 2) it allows suction back inside. First I transfer the liquid out of the plastic into a glass container- essential oils should only be kept in glass because they will leach stuff out of plastic. And second, I use a glass snoot sprayer (purchased on Amazon) that is like a pump action that prevents suction back inside the bottle. I think it was 2 pumps for $10. This is important for 2 reasons- it prevents bacteria from growing inside the bottle and if you happen to be sick (and you sanitize the nozzle after each use with alcohol or something) you wont re-infect yourself as you're getting better. The reason I use this is because science has suggested that we catch colds, etc not through our mouth or eyes, but through our ears. Inside our ears it is dark, it is warm, and it is moist...the perfect petri dish to grow bacteria or viruses. And since there isnt any sort of flushing action or blood flow to disrupt their growth, the bacteria are happy and grow until they infect our ears or find their way to our sinuses through the eustachian tubes. I use a perioxide cleaning for my ears before and after travel (an OTC 3% hydrogen peroxide you get at any pharmacy or big box store) as a first line of defense, and then I irrigate my sinuses with this SinuOrega solution to flush my sinuses. If I have gotten too sick and my sinuses are draining in the back of my throat, I will gargle (back of throat, not rinse my mouth) with hydrogen peroxide (3% only). The peroxide makes the mouth feel 'cottony'; so I use mouthwash or brush my teeth after to sort of get back to normal feeling in my mouth. I now consider this a staple for my personal medicine chest, and as of this writing, I havent had a cold take hold for 4 years. I might get the hint of a beginning and the procedure I described wipes it out. I try to actually be proactive and do this whenever Im around a sick individual (coughing or sneezing sends the germs into the air as a fine mist). I fly with this as it is small enough to get through security, and once at a convention where everyone got the crud I was perfectly healthy even after I flew home. A final note is that this, like all essential oils, loses potency over time. I didnt realize it until I got a fresh bottle as I was finishing up my last bottle. When I used the new stuff the sting was sharper than the older solution. (Still only 3 seconds and its over) So I think if you havent used it up after a year or so (much like fresh spices) you should get some new. I think it is probably effective for 2 years, but I was given my first couple bottles by my mom (thanks Mom!) so I didnt track how old they were. And just my personal preference, I wouldnt share my sprayer, each family member gets their own. One bottle can be split between two sprayers and you will use it up faster that way anyway. May this become your family secret to health as well!

My primary care doctor recommended this product versus OTC/prescribed medications that I have been taking for a decade. He suggested that I introduce herb ingredients; oregano, sage, pollen, etc. which coexist in nature and naturally trigger our immune system to combat allergens like pollen. I took two sprays to the nose, felt the sting hit my sinus membrane, savored the aroma of the oregano, and instantly I stopped sneezing, no more itchy, watery eyes, head, or nose congestion! This is such a welcome relief for a person like me who is allergic to everything. I'm confident you will be relieved like me. ☺️

I've recently had 2 sinus infections almost back to back but have had some sinus issues in the past. I bought this since it came highly recommended by my best friend who has suffered from numerous sinus infections. She swears by it. I used it for a few days when I felt something brewing in my sinuses again. After that, it seriously felt so much better and I avoided another round of unwanted antibiotics. I was happily surprised. People say it burns, and sure it does for a second or 2. But I also use the netti pot almost daily and that can burn from time to time, too, depending on how much the saline packets dissolve. So this was nothing to me. I would buy this again and again if it keeps working like this!

I am a long time sinus congestion/infection sufferer. I decided to try this based on the stellar reviews and my past experience with oregano oil. I have been suffering with my current sinus infection for almost a month now, and since starting this product a couple days ago, I seem to finally be getting better. I also started using a neti pot with a saltwater/tea tree mix about the same time, so I'm not sure if it was this product, the flush, or a combination of both that helped, but I am not stopping either right now to find out! However, I must say that I have had no "burning" sensation from using this product. After reading reviews, I fully expected this stuff to blow me away, but not at all. I'm not sure if they've changed the formula recently, but if not, I would say that the "burning" issue is way overblown... I'd actually probably prefer a stronger formula with a little burn, so I hope they didn't cave and weaken the concentration based on complaints. I used to take oregano oil drops undiluted under my tongue, and that was very harsh, but not with this. I've also used a capsaicin nasal spray product in the past that burned like hell. This is nonexistent compared to that. Of course, everyone is different, and ymmv. If you are like me, and have been dealing with debilitating sinus issues for a long time, I definitely recommend risking the $15 on this product. As they say, most sinus infections are NOT bacterial (I broke down and got antibiotics this time to no avail!), so it makes sense to use things like oregano and tea tree oils that have anitmicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial properties to cover your bases. Doctors won't do anything but tell you to rest and give you (usually) unnecessary antibiotics... Good luck!

This product works very well especially when a feel drainage that usually ends up for me as a a throat infection. If I catch it early with this spray, no infection. I have issues with allergies but this spray is a God I send.

Ive had double ear and sinus infection for what would be 3 weeks tomorrow. Ive done elextric nasal rinses, steam, sauna, on my second antibiotic...nothing worked and the pain was so bad. I got this and used it last night...didnt care if it burned. You can feel the burning but its not unbearable compared to the pain behind my ears and base of skull. I went to bed and did another nasal rinse this morning and the blockage finally came out! Now the antibiotics can woek and i can heal maybe! Dont be afraid of the burn because this works when nothing else did!!

Works better than any name brand sinus medicine I’ve tried. No more sinus infections. Can be stayed in nose unlimited times per bottle.

I suffer from a lifetime of chronic sinus issues as do 2 of my friends that I have referred this product to. One of them had their ear blocked up for 2 months and was about to have tubes put in, tried this first and 3 days later his ear cleared and the infection was gone in a week. Stuff works great at clearing sinuses, killing bacteria, and eliminating infection including into the Eustachian tubes. Can't beat it. However it will make you cry the first few times you use it as it's pretty kickin' stuff. Stay tough and you'll get used to it. Fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this product. I've been using it for at least 5 years. Showed on time as promised. Very grateful to purchase as it's very difficult to acquire in Canada.

If you have a strange taste even though your teeth are scrubbed well, then the cause may be in your sinuses. I tried this product first time with an infection, wow the burning pain was choking. I actually used a different sinus wash while it was so sore, but then have returned to this product. It keeps sinuses refreshed and clean, and if there is no infection it does not burn. So, it may be effective as a "cure" but it sure as hell hurts. As as maintenance measure, though, it is refreshing.

I’ve been using it when I got a cold. It stings a bit, but only for a few seconds after spraying. It helps to clear the nasal passages of mucus. I bought several bottles and will use for prevention and share new unopened bottles with my family members.

Its important to be ahead of the curve. I found myself with a reduction of sense of smell. So I purchased Zinc Picolinate which my body loves. Any scent reduction means your body needs Zinc to function optimally, I started drooling about sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds on my salad, that was my cue. As recommended to me from a friend, I picked it up. In tandem with the Zinc my smell returned in 72 hours. OK I was taking some regular zinc with copper before I purchased this so when I got this I could smell my air up finally and not just feel the sensation that I drank oj. I am still giving my body what it deserves. Natural nutrients and nutritious food. Its been a few days and I take this 4 times per day approximately. But honestly. I am just using the fumes mostly. Its all I need. I would repurchase in a heartbeat. It is a daily self care necessity. And I never paid attention to my Italian food craving particularly the oregano craving. Listen to your body.
