L’Oreal Paris Le Color One Step Hair Toning Gloss, Cool Blonde, 4 Ounce

I love this stuff, it tones my blonde so well from hard water. Smells good too.

Use after I shampoo I color my hair platinum and this adds a nice warm tone to it and it also from the harshness of doing hair platinum. This works really well as a conditioner and moisturizer. I love it. I’ve been using it for several years now and if I forget how good it works and I wonder about another product and I try that product. I go back to this one.

As I came to the end of writing this review I realized my experience was likely a reflection of my age. I’m a lot older than the lady on the box. So, I started over, beginning with a disclaimer: this is probably a five star toning conditioner if you aren’t a dinosaur. I know it is described as a deep conditioning toning gloss that lightens natural or colored hair. That’s a lot. I am unsure what it did best for the lady on the box but I can tell you for sure that it is a fairly thick consistency, not as thick as toothpaste and much easier to squeeze from the tube. It is a shiny dark purple. Feels silky. Smells ok. Used it after shampooing like a conditioner, wide-combed it easily through damp hair and left it on for about five minutes, which are the directions for medium blonde dyed hair. I was trying to tone down some gold. Hair felt silky while rinsing. I was encouraged, hoping for gloss. Dried with blower. Hair didn’t seem any easier to comb than usual, wet or dry, and no noticeable gloss. Oh well. It definitely looks more ash than gold, except at the roots. Maybe need more time on the roots. However, with the contrast, I can tell that ash blonde looks gray. I guess ashes are ... gray. So maybe I won’t leave it on the roots longer except maybe to.. make it all.... gray? Anyway, I’m thinking, for me, I now just need more color. It is a nice conditioner, and, it tones down the gold. Looks lighter. You might get gloss. On me, just less blonde. Ok conditioned. Not shiny or glossy. Overall it’s a nice product if you’re not me:-/

I had my hair highlighted in November. Turned out great as it usually does. A week or so later I had the Magic Sleek keratin straightening done. My hairdresser warned me it could change the color, but having done it previously without any adverse effects, I went ahead anyway. Well, this time it made it much more yellow. I didn't want to go back with my tail between my legs, even though I knew she'd fix it for free - (she's awesome!) so I tried all the different purple products - shampoo, conditioner, masks. None of them made the slightest difference. Talk about a huge waste of money. I figured I'd just have to live with it until it was time to go back for my regular highlights. Since I have a wedding in March, I'm trying to wait till closer to that date before I go back. From googling toning products, I knew I could probably buy something online, but wasn't comfortable experimenting with something that might turn out to be a disaster for me. Then I landed on this Loreal gloss (Cool Blonde) and I'm extremely happy with the results. I wanted the before and after to be as accurate as possible, so I wore the same shirt and took the photos in the same bathroom in the same light. It might not be a stark difference, and some of the yellow is still visible, but for such an inexpensive product, I'm thrilled. I only wish I had known about it before. I can't recommend it highly enough

i notice the glossiness but zero change in color/tone

ITS PURPLE! I’m 65 and my hair turned totally white many years ago. From using flat irons and curling irons, the ends had a gold tint to it where it got slightly scorched. I just wanted it to cut the yellow so I used this product on my hair and it turned my hair completely purple. I’ve washed it six times and it’s still purple. It’s a lighter shade of lavender now but it’s still definitely purple. ChatGPT had several different things I could try and none of them worked on cutting the purple. I didn’t have any color on my natural hair. Buyer Beware. Before and after pic below.

I had my hair done 2 weeks ago at a salon but the toner had faded already. I was looking to see if I could find more of a toner like product instead of purple shampoo and stumbled across this. After reading the great reviews, I thought why not try it and I’m so glad I did! It smells nice, not like purple shampoo that always has a chemically smell and it toned just right! The bottle says enough for 3 washes but I only used a tiny amount as I have thin hair so I think it will last longer. I used it in the shower after shampooing with my normal stuff and left it in for maybe 5 minutes before rinsing. Would highly recommend! Right picture is before, left picture is after

Super bien! Mi cabello es rubio cenizo y traigo restos de baby lights de hace un año, ya se veían como amarillas, aplique el tono rubio frio y volvieron a tener un color beige, muy natural, y el cabello me quedó muy suave. Me gustó mucho!

This is the best product ever for maintaining blonde hair. I typically use it once a week to keep my hair a nice cool tone. I just use it in the shower and let it sit a little bit. So easy to use. Makes my hair soft and looks like I just got it toned. I’ve tried other similar toners but this one works amazing for my bleached hair and is one of the more inexpensive options.
