Would this in any give scuffs to my Apple AirPod pro shiny body ?

It’s such a tight fit that as long as no you ensure that no sand or grit is on the air pod pro case or the inside of catalyst case it will be fine. The gaslit around the bottom of the case is also tight enough to ensure no ingress even on the beach. I imagine that you would have to take care not to introduce sand contamination to the up and over top part of the case. But then again this is worse case down on the beach with Sandy fingers. Day to day rough use it is more than capable. .

Does this case fit the second generation airpods pro released in september 2022?

From what I have read and seen on review videos the 2nd generation case is exactly the same side just add new features to the case.
