For years we've been using a wooden paper towel holder with a screw-top. Every time we replaced the paper towel we had to unscrew the top, put the paper towel in, and then screw it back on. It wasn't practical at all, but we kept the same holder for almost 9 years. We finally replaced it with this beauty and I can't believe we didn't do it sooner.I got it in the silver metal color and it's so shiny. I also really love the scroll design. It has pegs at the bottom so it's slightly elevated, which is great because it keeps the paper towel off any dirty surfaces. It can also hold a jumbo roll of paper towel. And of course my favorite part is that it's super easy to replace the roll of paper towel.

I wanted a product that didn't have a weighted bottom because the bottom gets wet and then smells of mildew. I chose this holder because it was open at the bottom. So it doesn't get wet and it can breathe, but because there is no weighted bottom, you have to hold with one hand wile ripping off the towels with the other. If that bothers you , then don't get this product. I like the look of it and it does what its supposed to. Also, it fits the "huge" bounty paper towel rolls. I was worried that it wouldn't fit these large rolls but it does.

This paper towel holder is very pretty, BUT... it is extremely lightweight! So every time you tear a sheet of paper towel off it dances around the counter top. I am going to keep it. BUT now I have to find a clever way to add weight to it with magnets or anchor it to my granite counter top. BOTTOMLINE: A quality paper towel holder should have weight!UPDATE: Too frustrating. Returning.

Bought a fruit basket and a paper towel holder for my friend house warming gift.... the fruit basket was very good but the 3 balls at the bottom of the paper towel holder came broken off so its not sitting flat its very cute and all but now im embarrassed to give it as a gift i can now only give the fruit basket as the gift dont waste your money buying the paper towel holder.

Looks very nice, does what it claims to do. Good price!

It's design is as pictured, and very elegant. It holds a standard roll of paper towels. It's pretty light, so as you get to the end of the roll you'll need two hands to anchor it and rip a section of towel off the roll, but for a basic paper towel holder it's a good buy.

With all the new great great nieces and nephews joining our family this year, I needed some fresh patterns. Great book.

Just got it. So far it looks ok. I will upgrade my review where necessary.
